Hello all, I have an Ampeg SVT 2 non-pro that I actually believed might have been previously owned by Krist novoselic. Former bass player of Nirvana. How might I go about finding out if this is true? I also had the cabinet but sadly I sold it.

I tried to contact Krist. It said that account didn't exist. I have a neighbor lady who is actually friends with him. I guess he takes her up in his airplane once in a while. I might ask her if she can get ahold of him.

HIS AIRPLANE??? People would actually get in a place with him flying it? Dude's way too clumsy for that!

Ha  That may be the Krist we remember from Nirvana days, but i can attest that he's way more put together than that as of late. Can't claim to know him well, but our Star Meets Sea did open for his latest project Giants In The Trees twice in 2018 and he came across as really grounded and kind. He no longer runs around the Seattle streets between gigs but works the land on what he described as a much more rural and even farmy existence in lower Washington.

The venue at the festival on the second gig was going to backline with something perfectly decent, but as we went up he asked me if i wanted to use his amp, and "feel free to mess with the settings" before he introduced us. I wanna say it was an SVT3 (pro? 4??) Honestly I've smoked a LOT of weed since then, so that detail is a little hazy :cigar:

(We almost got to do a third opening for them in a small club here in town, but word was the day after we text discussed a specific date with GITT guitarist Ray, Krist got a call from some guy named Dave Grohl who wanted them to open for his band at the C'link stadium that same night :meh: Oh well, I'd still get in a plane with him if he hasn't lost my number

Great story! Well I know a girl who used to date him back before they got popular, she said he absolutely loved jumping on furniture, but always kept falling and hurting himself. Maybe he's finally grown into his height :D
