While I have no doubt you have skills, doing gear with 9 to 18 volt power supplies (or even standard 120 volt) is very different than working on 400+ volt amplification.

It's your life, man, do what you want, just doing a reality check here.

Oh yeah! My list definitely wasn't comprehensive, and I left off some of the more booteeky stuff that I didn't think would fit the bill that the OP is looking for.
I left out Orange on purpose, but I forgot about Marshall all together. I'm not sure what they make other than the Superbass and the Lemmy, which are both 100w I believe.

A pair of cranked Lemmy's going through four 4X12's would certainly accomplish what he wants!

Somebody's parents must have HATED band practice. My parents didn't even let me crank my 115 in the basement (I did it a few times anyways and always when they weren't home). Oh did I mention it was a Peavey TKO 115.

Why not just build yourself a nice boutique pedal to give you the tone you like instead of modding all those Bassman 300's your going to buy.
