...and is this your big chance to say you're more knowledgeable in electronics or whatever? idk anyway. it just has to do what i want and sku-ream into the maple neck and body of the ric

you asked for knowledge, young Jedi, and so you shall receive it if the mind is humble and willing to learn.

There are many knowledgeable people here on TB and many have already chimed in to help you.

Accept it graciously and it will be given graciously, otherwise you'll receive what you so generously doled out yourself :D

a wall of these with 8x10's underneath!!!

so out of the amps i mentioned, "peavey" is the ultimate rig? i just dont believe that. skynard isnt known for their bass sound anyway. Rock band like, Disciple, U2, Coldplay, Radiohead

Stop being a gear snob (figures, since you're from Malibu) and try it out. Peavey has made and makes some great gear.

They currently make a 300 watt tube amp that weighs less than 40 pounds, too.

Or you could always go for the standard Ampeg SVT setup, which sounds fine. Might be the way to go, since you seem to care a bit more about how it looks than how it sounds.

TBer: "There's something not right here... I feel cold. Troll."

Moda: "That thread… is strong with the dark side of Talk Bass. A domain of evil it is. In you must post."

TBer: "What's in there?"

Moda: "Only what wit & criticism you take with you."

...

He's had a lot of practice:
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/basson-cabs-=-bad-customer-service-524427/#post7085487A classic (now-closed) thread with a similar course from 2009...
oh man that was before my mental kuu-rash! so im not really the same guy i used to be.:rollno:

Moda: ""The cabs, remember your failure with the Basson Cabs!"

Mind, the cave, uh, Basson cabs thread was only a meagre 7 pages before being shut down. This thread has more than trebled that page count. Very good, young padawan, but you still have much to learn...

"But I've learned so much since then".
