How can you tell?
Soho, you seem to have experience with these basses. But, there is a Tune, I am pretty sure one of the Sam Ash ones, that is in town and it definitely has wide string spacing, probably 19mm since it feels like home to me. Is this an option that pops up frequently? Or is this one of the things a buyer should clarify off the bat when considering a Tune? OR....does it have something to do with the Japan vs Korean model?

but i've never had a chance to see or play the samash korean ones,
so i'm not able to compare them with the japanese ones.
i do know that in japan, there are tons of different options available,
a lot more variety in terms of exotic tops, bridges, 8-string, 10-string, etc. so i may have gotten an not-as-wide-string option/model (i bought mine used).
it would be cool if some of the korean version owners here could measure their bridge string spacings and chime in?

You should be able to find the label or wood carving, probably on the back of the neck, that says, "Made in Korea". Those aren't the real ones. I'm guessing the real ones say, "Made in Japan" on them somewhere.
I have the Sam Ash korean model. I believe mine is around 18mm. I will measure it tonight when I get hole from work.

..never get tired of looking at the Tune Robear....same color and hardware as my Yamaha, but better styling...I'd be interested in the natural finish 6'er
i emailed Tune Japan about the string spacing and got a reply.
just as i suspected, all Japanese TWB and TWX models are 18mm.
if the Korean ones are 19mm, then that's something that's different between the two, i guess.
