The ones I played are wider spaced, they feel great. One at my friends bass /consignment shop in Raleigh, a 6 er.

I have a tune bass maniac 5 from Japan circa 1990? It has been a solid instrument all these years. It has been relegated to my back up. But when I play it, I am reminded a of good playability with fairly versatile tone.

Yeah but they're great basses AND the only Tunes you can buy right now. I think the origional Tune company is defunct now.

Tune is huge in japan.
My sincere apologies, It was bad info given to me. I checked a while back and could'nt get a response from that company, the website did'nt work and the extended searches kept showing up Sam Ash as the only place you could get a Tune. When I asked them they told me that the old company did'nt exsist and judging by the result of my searches, it did'nt. Please post a working Tune Japan site address if you can, it will be appreciated. Thanks

The SamAsh Tune's aren't as nice as the others that I've seen, but at NAAM, I spoke to the people at the Tune booth about where I could get some of their nicer/high-end models, and they told me SamAsh. It might have to be a custom order type thing through them then.

Oh well, I've decided that the only money i spend towards basses now will be on CTs, or maybe a mike brown or darrin huff.
