That's why there the East MM Retro. I got one for my MM.Yeah, there was something about the Fender signature still being fantastic, but he also wanted something affordable for beginners. I'm guessing £400-600. Funny how mid control (sweepable at that) is a must, while on the Fender it isn't.
Not a chance. The site tells you itself that "in the price range", other bodies are usually agathis or basswood (Squier level). That bridge (with a screw in each corner) is a $6 part, and using Swampash or Alder for bodies, or rock maple for necks isn't going to add much $$ to the cost of the bass.After perusing the site and reading of all the features, the Jazz styled bass will by no means be an entry level instrument.
