Weird.

What's the price point of an entry level bass?

While I appreciate Marcus' efforts to get a quality bass out there with a lower cost, my jaded experiences tell me it'll be looked down upon by those with money due to its low price and overlooked by those with .
limited funds because, again, of its low price. (Assuming it'll be in the 400 to 600 range.)

Neither one of those basses looks "budget" to me I can't remember seeing too many budget basses with an 18v Pre, three band EQ and sweepable mids? look at that top and body no way is that going to be an entry level bass.

If we're playing the "guess the price game", then I'll guess $1100 for the natural Jazz.

Wow I can't imagine the price being that high if Marcus is really looking to put a decent instrument into children/young persons hands It would need to be below $500 maybe closer to $350 optimally $199. I'm not sure how possible that is but $1000 is a lot of money for a lot of people. Imagine if playing the violin or trumpet required Mom and Dad to spend $1000.

After perusing the site and reading of all the features, the Jazz styled bass will by no means be an entry level instrument.
I stand by my $1100 guess.
