Please help me understand the Opus.
I can put it on my pedalboard and simulate Preamp, Poweramp? and Cabinet (plus some effests). I can for example buy a virtual Mesa Boogie 1x15 Cabinet at Two notes, which is as I understand it an official version. I can then download it to the unit and have it simulated with me via headphones or DI out.
But what about the Amp? I can not buy the virtual TT800 (Gibson ,Mesa, Twonotes, I don't know if it exists), the official Ampeg SVT Suite... or can I?
Great question! We have over 800 cabinets on our store and once purchased these cab be downloaded onto any Two notes hardware device or software you own thanks to our licensing system. the TSM amps on OPUS are fixed however and we dont sell amplifiers for this hardware platform. Last year though we did action 3 firmware updates bringing the amp arsenal from 5 to 12! If you have any other questions, let me know!

There is indeed and a Clean Preamp to boot - the poweramp is actually customisable as well for greater tonal flexibility!
Sorry, I did not choose my words well, I am not native.
I meant using my pedalboard with an Opus to shape my tone. Then either go virtual out with, let's say a Subway 1x15 Cabsim (headphones, PA/FOH) - or go out to a physical clean poweramp and physical Subway 1x15. I just don't know if this volume knob only not tone colouring poweramp exists.

Ross from Two notes here - you shouldnt have issues on the software side but you may be using the wrong cable type. Are you using the cable included in the box? I ask as this format comes in 2 varieties (Charging and Data cables) and it is the latter that you need in this instance.
I’m not actually! I bought the unit second hand and it didn’t come with that

There are some pretty clean poweramps out there - I use a Seymour Duncan powerstage and it doesnt colour the tone to my ears! Let me know if this helps!

I'm tweaking according to what sounds good for my taste on my bass guitar (Cort B5) with the strings (Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats) that are on it.

So it will be interesting to eventually get some feedback as to how the sound with other instruments.

I've got some Dunlop Flatwounds coming, my CF's are about 5 months old, which normally isn't much for flatwounds, but the fretted notes on my 'E' and 'B' strings seem a bit more thuddy (deadish) that they did a couple of months back.

I came up with a new naming convention for my Opus presets, so to avoid confusion, I deleted the ones that I had previously uploaded to the TN exchange server.
Basically any preset you see on the exchange that starts with 'IBJD', that's probably going to be one of mine.
I uploaded 5 presets.
Location of the exchange is:

Two Notes Opus Exchange Server
Sounds like a good plan - I will keep my eyes out for these! Thanks for the heads-up!

Running a modeller/cab sim into a bass cabinet rather than into a powered PA, or other FRFR-type unit, will almost definitely sound like ass. You are putting a speaker's filter/EQ curve on top of another speaker's filter/EQ curve, and it almost always results in an incoherent mess of cancelled frequencies and muddy sound. Please don't do yourself, or any of the gear, such a disservice by running the Opus into a Fender Rumble!

When I try it out at the store, I will run it both ways - the probable mud way of the instrument input jack And the hopefully not mud way of running it into the FX Return jack where I bypass the Rumble preamp and go straight into the power amp section.

I’ve run mine into the effects return of my Rumble 500 with great success. Even guitar sounds great with the tweeter on. By bypassing the built in preamp, the only slight coloration would be the speakers, which are pretty neutral.
