Two Notes Audio User Group

The Genome software has "the 400" (Mesa) but it has to be run with the computer horsepower that is not available on the OPUS itself.

I use the OC Crimson Red Bass Preamp (B-15) with the WGrandAve DynIR (B-15N). Bluetooth control.

I also have the Mesa PH215, SW212 and a few others that are not stock.

Just bought a used Cab M with the + upgrade installed.

Going to use it for headphone practice and to record song ideas through an irig.

Bit overwhelmed by all the options though, coming from a simple tc ir loader.
Ross from Two notes here - if you have any questions I am more than happy to help you get up and running fast! :)

I am such a tweaker!

I've found that I really need to check out presets while playing along with a variety of musical styles.

What sounds great to me solo (and I'm no soloist by any means, but you know what I mean), can sound muffled and indistinct in certain musical contexts.

So, I'm no longer rushing to post my presets to the Exchange server and I'll likely delete the ones I've already posted.

I am SO Loving the Foundry preamp (for some reason, I tend to prefer the Foundry to the Foundry Bass preamp, as least at this point in my tweaking).

I really love Alt. Country and Americana type music, and the Foundry models sit so well in most of those contexts!

I used to own a '60's blackface Bassman when I was in High School with a 2x15 JBL D140F HS shop-built cabinet.

Great sounding gear!

So pleased to hear you are enjoying OPUS! One thing I would say, dont delete your Exchange presets as what might not be working for you, will certainly work for other users! :)

Shortly...I decided to release the SA Spectrum Intelligent Filter and fore go the Boss SYB-5 on the main board and use the C4. Not much ya can't do and sound amazing doing it with this small group. Still short the Boss MO-2 Multi Overtones and case that I'll finish next month on the main board.
Awesome! Sounding like this is going to be stellar!

I may reconsider.

Looks like @PhatBottomBass1 has it going on!
I decided to do this so I could get the SA presets available for C4 and if needed tweak a bit more so than building stuff, but we'll see.

The combo of these two pedals, with the delay in the C4 loop, will allow a great deal of sonic availability. The Broughton B/BA on signal cleanup, noise reduction and line level deliverables is such a cool item. Then, of course, the OPUS.

This small Gang of Four will not do the other more special functions as my Big Board. But, while I just ordered these today. I've had a C4, but never felt as comfortable with it as I do now with the new Nuero Editor 3. The Constellator delay is not as crazy as some function wise, but it sounds real good. Having it in the C4 loop can leave it on and bring it in and out as desired. Kinda caveman, but it's that GEICO Caveman.

I'm finding several "guitar" cabinets that I find better than the "bass" cabs that came with the Opus.

Maybe it has more to do with the state of the flatwound strings I have on my bass right now - 6 month old Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats on a Cort B5 Element with Bartolini Soapbars and a Markbass onboard preamp (though, I'm only running the bass in passive mode w/o a passive tone control).

I worked with the Marco 2x10 for a while, but so far the guitar cabs I like are the "Free Rock2" (2x12), the "AE ElDorado 212 X12", the "Friedman 412 Vint", the "AE LumberLever50 412", the "Tanger 30C" (4x12 for a more driven tone), the "Romanum2" (2x12), the "AE Petaluma 412 Vint", the "Blonde 63" (2x12), the "AE CaliB 212 P12N", the "Angl Pro30" (4x12), and the "StrongBack" (4x12).

The "Free Rock2" and the "Romanum2" are "relatively" transparent.

Just some thoughts for anyone experimenting with creating Presets, don't think that you are stuck with "Bass" specific cabs.

My guess the sampling/processing didn't process in the actual electrical/acoustic limitations of the cabs, just their general tones.

Very cool, IMO!!!

Great suggestion and for certain bass tones with a little more bit, our Guitar DynIR arsenal is super useful! When we capture cabinets, you are absolutely right: any technical limitations are negated so you are able to experiment a lot more with cabs and speakers that would otherwise be unattainable with the physical counterparts! Glad to hear you are enjoying this! :)
