Two Notes Audio User Group

Good afternoon Two notes Tone Heads,

I am super pleased to announce the latest addition to our Hardware Lineup - Reload II!

Reload II_LS Images_12.jpg

Featuring twin-channel operation, selectable multi-impedance compatibility, a Celestion Approved Load Response and true continuous attenuation, Reload II is our most advanced Load Box to date. I have been testing this for the past few months now and the feature spec really is killer - our development team really knocked it out the park!

I have been running both OPUS and ReVolt Bass into this while testing / shooting our content and I this is now my power-amp of choice! Also, if you have a mighty bass head that you need to attenuate - or add a secondary cab output to - the results are amazing!

Nice Kit!

Sweetwater has this @ $999 inbound.

It's so cool to not be looking at this and thinking..."ya know, it would be better if it just did this or that." :cigar:

Ha! Glad to hear you like it - we really went out on the spec of this considering it is an all analog device!

If you have any other questions, let me know!

Just a personal comment...

I was checking out a recording review of The Weeknd track "Blinding Lights" that has rather impressive stats. The Bass on that recording is amazing. The review broke down the mono and stereo Bass sections of the track. It's not mono then BIG MONO when it changes up and down.

Afterwards I was thinking - so how could I do this with a "simple" on stage rig? Apparently, Two Notes read my mind last night and cranked this out!?! 🤯

Ha! Well there you go! Do you have a link to the track - would love to give this a listen!

Misadventures in troubleshooting.

I thought something was wrong with my Opus.

It would work fine for a bit then gradually, some light, intermittent distortion would come in, and it would gradually get worse until it was full-on nasty distorted bass signal.

I did all kinds of switching cables, disconnecting from PC, refreshed my Opus license file, turned all bluetooth off, yada, yada...

So my basic, bad assumption was since I'm running my BG in passive mode, I shouldn't be concerned about the state of the battery in my BG.

I finally hooked up my BG to a little mixer that I was previously using to practice with and I found the same behavior and instantly knew it was a bad battery.

New 9V = no distortion!

Someone did tell me once to beware of assumptions.

Hi Ross, this looks pretty cool! Can the Reload II be used as a Reamper? I'm guessing yes but this is kind of foreign territory for me. Also, how is Genome integrated with Reload?

Thanks for getting in touch. You can certainly use Reload II as a reamping solution in conjunction with a re-amp box (like the ProRMP) - we actually have a setup diagram for this which I have linked below.

Reload has an all analog architecture so GENOME is not in the box per se. However, you can run the XLR outs into your interface and load GENOME in your DAW or standalone to apply cab emulation and FX. Interestingly you could also run a GENOME TSM/TSM-Ai amp into Reload II as a means of running this through a speaker cabinet...

Or add GENOME's spacial Studio FX to the FX loop...

Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions, I am here to help!

Well I know what I'll be doing this weekend! :)
While perusing bass cab captures by Two Notes, I think I found the most transparent bass cab - the REA One used with the Rbn 160 mic - almost too clean, but I think the various parameters just need tweaking.
I'll probably buy it soon.

I bought the Standard Powerhouse 1000 while on there - it sounds great with the Aviator and Foundry Bass preamps (haven't tried any other preamps with it yet)!

A fine choice Sir and it is super transparent for sure! I use it quite a lot when I want an alternative DI tone and it works a treat!

I uploaded three Presets to the Opus Exchange server.

Two Notes Opus Exchange Server

All three use the Standard Powerhouse 1000 cabinet:
One is EQ only (no preamp and no power amp), so it is very clean, solid, and punchy (IBJDEQOSPH1K).
One uses the Aviator preamp in low gain, no power amp - again very clean, solid, and punchy (IBJDDGNPSPH1K).
One uses the Foundry Bass preamp - all of the above, plus more tubey goodness (IBJDSBNPSPH1K).
All three sound great with all genres of music!
