I’m not Ross but I saw this in the manual. I think only static IRs can be double loaded@Ross Davies A question for you, sir. Is there any potential of developing a "stereo/split" speaker rig, doing an imitation of a Rickenbacker-type arrangement? I'm thinking of either a Geddy Lee or Chris Squire, who used the stereo output on their 4001's to run two separate rigs, one for each pickup. In Geddy's case it was dual SVT's run with different EQ curves, but Squire definitely used bass amps and guitar amps in tandem. It would be really cool to be able to combine/blend a bass DynIR with a guitar DynIR for a pretty humungous wall of sound. I'm still using the Torpedo CAB M+ rather than Opus (but I am still SO happy with it, I have no desire to change out), so am behind the technology curve, but is it even possible to currently run multiple DynIR's on a single preset? My feeling is that the answer is "no" presently.
My main bass is a Rickenbacker, and even though it's rare to do out live, I have brought separate rigs to run stereo bass on certain big shows. It would be super cool to have that same capacity in my Two Notes box, but recognize this is perhaps a pipe dream, and completely non-viable with the software. But, it's very cool how open you specifically, and the company generally, are to communicating with the bass community, so thought I'd at least ask, since it probably can't do too much harm![]()
That's what I was going to point out - just buy another Opus - instant stereo (in your scenario)!I think to do the "Ric-O-Sound" with two different signal inputs you need two C.A.B. M+ units (or OPUS x 2)

Thanks for getting in touch and a super valid suggestion here. Sadly there is no way of accommodating this in OPUS as the CPU in the device has limitations and - although optimised - running two DynIRs would be very resource hungry. You can load 2 independent Static IRs in the IR loader but any pre and post processing is actioned across both IRs. The other solution - and what I do when I need to acton this mainly with the TSM amps - is use 2 OPUS units for a true Stereo Rig. Hey Charlie, Thanks for getting in touch. You might want to try the foundry bass ahead of the Poweramp - this is my usual setup and I find it gives me that Amp feel without being too overbearing! Glad to hear you are enjoying GENOME though.While I wait for my Opus to arrive I tried running into Genome and monitoring the live playing. I ran my P-bass->Chase Bliss Clean->Audio Kitchen TSTDI->Apogee Duet->Logic Pro. I tried various resolutions and settled at 96K and the lowest buffer, which gave me no clicks, pops or other artifacts. I seemed to get the best, most realistic feel using the (very cool) power amp module without amp or DynIR. Static Ir seemed to do a bit better but there was a more distant feel to all of them aside from the power amp.. I’ll play around a bit more as I wait but if there are any additional tips to improve the amp/cab sun feel with direct playing I’m all ears. I set the monitoring on my interface to the least latency and as I said the power amp module was quite nice. MacBook Pro 32GB RAM
As an aside, @Ross Davies, I spotted an Audio Kitchen The Big Trees on the Genome product page. Are there any plans to capture that one? How do you all use it? I have one with a DI on it but will try the Opus afterwards for headphone practice with electric gee-tar.

Thanks for the suggestion here Charlie, I will certainly relay this to the team - however it does sound a little strange that this would be impacting the sound in such a dramatic way. Are you monitoring in the context of a backing track? In addition, have you tried monitoring via different headphones?@Ross Davies Would it be possible to add a global "Phase Invert" toggle to apply to the whole signal for Opus and the software? In theory I know it shouldn't make a difference when solo'd but when playing through headphones, like my Beyerdynamic 770's, there is a BIG audible difference in feel when inverting phase on a signal. When something is out of phase, it often sounds like I'm hitting a brick wall/hard limiter where the dynamics are completely gone. When I invert it, usually within my interface's hardware or with a specific phase inverter pedal, the feel and low end goodness comes back to life. The Mics on Opus/Torpedo have the invert capability but it's not exactly the same and I don't always want to use the cabsims anyhow. Thanks in advance, I'm digging the Opus so far; just takes some acclimatization to all of the options.

I'm guessing the Opus may invert phase but I don’t have any proof aside from my ears telling me. I haven’t looked at any recorded waveforms. I have compressors, phasers (ironically?), preamps, and others that invert phase and the result are the same for me. It’s a bit more obvious in the closed-back DT770’s since they are more pronounced in the lower end than my open back T90’s. It also seems to be more noticeable with low frequencies than high frequencies. The purpose for my request for a global phase inversion, at the end, just before the signal leaves the Opus, is so I don't have to use either my interface or a separate pedal to do so, if desired. And perhaps, inverting or not may yield different results when running a track in the Aux input since most references to phase inversion are when there are more than one signals. But just to confirm what I'm hearing on a mono bass signal, I looked around the internet and this was the best example of a similar situation as to what I'm describing, although this person speaks specifically about Saw waves.

Try inverting the phase of a bass signal after the Opus, with the lowest frequencies boosted a bit (the Foundry Bass, LO in the EQ, or KT88 tube section with increased depth and contour should work, no cab sim) to make the differences more pronounced. Do you hear any difference while playing? Does one feel more immediate/responsive underneath the fingers? Is one more up front sounding? Again, this is not specific to Opus; inverting the phase on any pedal where bass frequencies are prominent should yield a difference.

And just for reference, the effects are more noticeable when digging in a bit, versus having a light touch. in any case, If a phase invert capability was added that would be great and highly appreciated.Thanks so much for this - I have relayed this to the team now. I actually tested this in my studio last night out of interest, flipping the phase of the Mono signal in my DAW and couldn't notice a perceivable difference; this is not to say it is not perceivable to you however this may be a case of psychoacoustics and is definitely a valid preference for some users.
