It can’t
Unless you theoretically moved the bridge

All foundations and dyna basses were 34 inch scale

the G bass neck is 35 even on the 4 string

Truss locations are different but iced always thought screw it and try throwing it on the millenium J/J body

Thanks brother. I always forget it's a 35" scale. Any suggestions ?

The SF Foundation arrived and I believe it will be terrific after being properly set up. It had quite a bit of forward bow, bridge saddles mostly bottomed out and action not great. I don't believe the truss rod had ever been adjusted. The nut turned easily and the neck is quite straight now. IMO the neck needs to be shimmed and I will probably get that done tomorrow. The bass has years of fingerprints on it but the finish looks to be in excellent shape and the neck finish is in wonderful condition. This will be a fine playing/looking Foundation after some TLC and new strings.

I had a feeling this was gonna be a nice specimen, it looked very good in the GC pics.
So my question is....who's gonna play this bass after you get it all clean and set up? :D
You and I both already sold the prettiest Foundation because it wasn't getting played.
I think you're like me, you can't help rescuing a cute puppy and getting it all ready for a new home. :bassist:

It might be more than just scale length, I think maybe your G Bass neck heel is differently shaped from the Foundation S and Fury pockets/ screw holes, etc.
I don't remember for sure though.

You are so right. I will most likely get it the best I can and then sell it to someone who will play it. The lovely blue Foundation that I got from you went to Thundar and he is playing it. Yay! Oh, and he loves it too.

By the way, the micro tilt had not been put into play on this bass. The neck needs to be shimmed and that is what it will get. If someone had used the micro tilt I would probably be crying about a neck with ski jump.

Always impressed by the tone and playability of my 1999 (I think) soapbar foundation. A few years ago I had the techs at my GC run the satin neck on a buffing wheel and it glossed up beautifully and really elevated the play feel for me. I feel like these get the shaft compared to SF models, but mines an absolute killer. If only it wasn’t that ugly 90s red...

Please don't tell anyone but I think the later Foundations with the single coils in the PU shells that look like humbuckers sound better than Super Ferrites. That said, the SF PU's have a unique tone and for some reason this one that arrived today seems to sound even better than the last few I have had.

Foundations are great basses. All of them!
