Quite agree Chuck.

Generally I prefer warmer alnico mag pickups. The C 5 mag in the later Foundation is closer than the , I suspect, C 8 in earlier models. Being Strontium Ferrite both share the same initials of SF :D

The Foundation and Patriot SF pickups have that unique great aggro-edge to their sound.
That is a MEAN looking bass...a bit like a weapon! :bassist:
Has all the bullet-proof hardware on it too.

Strangely, I seem to be running out of GAS.
I've found good deals on ten different basses in the last six months and only bought one, a used Squier CV '50's bass.
I still look all the time and still argue with myself about why I should or should not add more basses to the dozen that currently reside here.

Me too, for the most part. For the FIRST time in YEARS, maybe a decade, I'm "done". I own all the basses I've wanted. I'm sure I'll see a "must have" someday, but for now, I'm not seeking... Except for another graphite neck to build a P/J.

Same here..my GAS buying yearning days are done, although having said that, 2 weeks ago I bought the wife a Kala U-Bass to keep her fingers busy, so they are not plying their way into my wallet.
