Got some new "P" knobs and pickup springs for my Peavey Unity LTD. Tuners and bridge went on a couple weeks ago and if I say so myself the bass is really looking mean considering what it started as.

Got some new "P" knobs and pickup springs for my Peavey Unity LTD. Tuners and bridge went on a couple weeks ago and if I say so myself the bass is really looking mean considering what it started as. 
This bass just went from a modified Patriot to somewhat of a Partscaster/Frankenstein...
Got the 1.75" 85 Patriot double stripe neck swapped into the RicRiot. Easy peasy, an easy hardware transfer from the original 87 1.5" pinstripe neck and it screwed to the body nicely with no misalignment. A very small adjustment to the micro tilt and saddles and it plays the same, no intonation adjustment necessary!
So, now it's a 85 neck on an 87 body with additional pickup and 3 way switch.

I got them from Silver Surfer on Etsy. They are 3d printed resin and highly detailed. I have urged him to keep selling them but he encountered some shipping issues from Canada to US, and some customers were not understanding it seems.
Bass is effin awesome.
The '87 neck you had on it stock is my favorite Peavey neck.

This 85 neck makes the bass feel even closer to a Ric. The T45 neck on my other Frankenstein and the neck on my 91 Dyna 5 have the exact same profile. I really like it--wide, but shallow/thin. It sat for 11 days acclimating before I installed it on the bass, now I'm letting it settle in under string tension. It seems to be OK.
Wide but not too deep can be great, that was a big surprise to me when I took a chance buying my used Yamaha Attitude Custom.
Your wider Patriot neck might be something like the neck on my Attitude which has a nut width 1-11/16" so just barely narrower than your 1-3/4"
None of my Peaveys have the wider neck, my Gen 1 Slant Fury originally had the wide neck but it was replaced with a 1987 by the time I got it.
Speaking of patriots, got this boy assembled and functional today. Lots of mojo on this piece. I already have an aqua one with a 1.5” neck but I think I’ll sit with this one awhile and see how I like it. If I don’t, I’ll probably part it out since it’s not an original complete anyways.
Sarzo husk update. Well, things didn't work out as planned and me trying to remove the fingerboard was a complete and total failure! While removing the fingerboard, about 2 to 3 inches in, the ebony began to crack from the bottom to the top. I may have been too impatient and didn't leave the heat to the fingerboard long enough. I ended up cutting the neck off of the body.
Now for the big question for everyone. Does anybody happen to have a 4 string Cirrus or USA Grind bolt on neck they would be willing to part with? I think the extra wood and angle would help at the body since there is less wood where the neck joint is from being a neck through.

Looks like that one is like a bass that Ronnie (Mech) wanted parts from. A Peavey RJIV came up for sale on Austin Craigslist and he asked me to go check it out. Turns out it had major problems but he already knew that before he called me.
So I went and bought it for him for $70 with the chainsaw case (they were asking for $100) and took what parts I could from it and sent them to him. The ebony fretboard cracked easily when I was messing with it. Turns out that ebony is hard as heck but easy enough to crack on some of these basses.
I may still have the case, he didn't want it.
