FTR, Jolanas were built in former Czechoslovakia, not USSR. Not great per se but much better than any Soviet-made instruments

Yea.. I've had a house fire...

Luckily they weren't that picky since I had the smoky gear.

They did ask for an itemized list with serial numbers etc.

I'm sorry, Tim. That's everyone's worst nightmare next to losing a loved one before their time due to a criminal act (sorry to be so dark).

It's ok (stuff is put back together)... just planning... I have several that do not have permanent stamped serial numbers.... To make things more difficult, I have an affinity for carbon fiber.

Does anyone know where I can get a Foundation neck? Maple or rosewood, no particular preference necessarily. No luck on Reverb or EBay lately. I bought a 93 Foundation with a neck that is too far gone to fix and I’d hate to see a body with Super Ferrites sitting around gathering dust!

This may have been covered already but, has anybody here strung their Millennium with flats? If so what did you use and what were your results? I currently have one strung with D'A nickel rounds and one with Black Beauties.

Hah. My gigs these days are all on unamplified upright bass except for my church gig that I play my Cirrus 5 on.

The strings I have on my Millennium Plus 5 are:

I hoped it would be the Jolana D-Bass.

Never been too keen on the Disco Bass.

It's quite apt, seeing Jolana mentioned in a Peavey thread.
Folks here talk about rising prices. In that respect Jolana beats Peaveys hands down, time was a carton of smokes or ladies nylons would get you a Jolana

There's also a weird Kevin Bacon thing going on.
The European built HP-2 and Cirrus are coming out of the NBE.Corp factory. Few years back NBE started building Jolana guitars again.

In answer to your question I have a couple basses where I have printed labels with the serial number and put them in the control cavity, under the pickups and if it's a bolt on neck in the neck pocket. More for if they were stolen so it would be easier, hopefully, to identify.

It will say very clearly Made in USA or it will say Crafted in USA on the headstock.
That looks to be about 1994 Made in USA Fury.
What is the serial number?

Sorry to hear of the fire. That's a tough experience, despite a worldwide pandemic. Hope it all turns around OK.

For serial numbers, in the event someone tries to remove the original serial number, I find a front or rear control plate, a jack plate, battery cover or jack-like the slanted Strat-style assembly. Preferably a part that doesn't require a lot of screws or deconstruction to remove. I then sharpie the serial number on the inside of it somewhere or scratch the serial number into the foil or copper shielding. This way it's as easy as possible to find.
