I feel like it sold right where it should have.
I was just checking to see what the sale ended up at. Assuming there is no neck troubles I agree pretty much where it should have gone for. That case gunk will clean off. Dealt with the same thing on mine after it sat in the case for a long time. Not quite that bad though.
That's crazy low. I bought a 90's foundation for 125 a few years ago. I think that's the best I've done. But this is a first generation with the Peavey lightning knobs. Also a rosewood fretboard makes it a plus model and the case is included. Auctions tend to hit the market price. I do think that Craigslist or FB marketplace deals can be better overall. I paid $270 for my Ash (speed knob) 1st gen Foundation plus last year...with case and I thought it was a fair price. All about perspective I guess.
Rosewood was a +$25 alacarte additional fee (so were contour cases, colors finishes etc)

From what I remember (probably wrong) plus = headstock painted the same as body
It's all good... kind of like noting that there were really no "custom shop Cirrus - the were mostly built from options"

I have a white one just like it, it's a nice bass, nice neck that year.

I've thought about making a drive to go check it out but, I simply don't need it. Oddly, I'm still looking for a good B-Ninety. Kinda mad at myself for not keeping that grey one I got through GC. I wonder it if was worth sending to the warped neck guy for repair. It was in great condition cosmetically and would have been a great project.
Every time in the last year or so, that another Peavey bass popped up that I don't need, I had to remind myself that I've got it covered (sometimes three times over) and to just post a heads up here instead.
No, you shouldn't have bought a Peavey with an effed up neck, a good one will turn up and that is the one you should get.
My white/pearl one had a bummed neck too, so I put on a zodiac scorpion neck on it. I never play it, but it sounds killer. I think someday I'll lose the neck and parts, and put the pickups in my fender zone or something.
My Dyna 5 neck went from a little wavy, yet playable, to too wavy. Pretty sure it was this overly wet spring. It was a little better a couple days ago, but I sent it off to warped neck.com anyway.
I talked to the warped neck folks a couple weeks ago about fixing my forum plus neck (twisted bad, way more relief on the bass side than the treble) and since I had already tried to correct it with fretwork, I’d be best to defret it, plane the board, and start fresh. Wish I’d known/noticed it when I bought it

Am I understanding they said they (Warped Neck) couldn't do anything because you were working on the frets? If so, I find that a little odd.
This was probably already posted -- Really nice Forum 5 on Reverb. If the shipping wasn't so high, I might've been tempted to pull the trigger.

The electronics have been altered. It originally had master volume, blend and stacked bass/treble controls. Sure looks nice though.
They said that a twist is one of the more difficult warps to tackle, and because I had already worked the frets so much, it would have to be refretted anyways, and a fretboard plane would be easier, cheaper, and a more surefire repair.
If i hadn't tried to compensate the hump on the treble side by taking down the frets, fixing the twist would have definitely been the option. But alas, stupidity met confidence.
