Hmmm not too sure. I thought coil tapping was achieved with a cap on one of the terminal?

I have a long thread in the Luthier's section detailing the my efforts to refinish a Fury, but thought there might be more interest amongst the rest of the Peavey fans.
This pic is from this afternoon. My first attempt at a sunburst finish. Colors based on some basses seen in the Carvin gallery on the Carvin webite.
I plan to do another light pass to even out a few spots where I didn't get the burst as wide as I want it (around the cutout particularly.)

Wow. That really looks nice. Who would know that such beautiful wood was hidden under the paint.
observation note..
This may be the time to address the cracked pickguard this model gets.. you could have the opportunity to chisel in a bit of steel reinforcement etc.
