I will offer this again...Thats what I was thinking. 800.00 to me is just nuts.
If it were another brand, the price would be cheap at $800 for an 80's or 90's USA made bass.
Some USA made basses at GC today:
Six Carvin basses from $670 to $1600.
Two 1979 Kramer basses for $1799 each.
Two late 70's Ovation basses at $1299 and $1399.
Meanwhile used USA Peaveys $249 and up to a $499 Axcelerator that nobody has bought for many months.
Here are some used Asian imports at GC right now:
Four Reverend basses from Korea and Indonesia $625 to $960.
Four PRS basses from Korea $570 to $820.
Two Lakland Skyline Series (Indonesia I think) $779 and $899 and I often see them at over $1000.
Meanwhile the used Indonesian G&L Tribute basses are at $379, $399, $499.
Meanwhile nine used Peavey imports priced $129, $164, $199, $225 on up to a Cirrus BXP for $539.
It's all perception, no real logic to it.
