I know many Peavey necks are interchangeable, so does anyone know if a 21 fret neck from say, a Foundation, would fit correctly on a Palaedium?
I converted one of mine to fretless and figured an inexpensive way to keep the fretted option would be a spare neck, even if the feel would be much different.

Gold Foundation recently posted on eBay (no affiliation). Just a tad overpriced, imho. But a sweet bass!

Hugely different, 8" radius vs 17" radius and that's before you think about front to back thickness.
Get a Foundation neck, tug the frets, plane the fretboard to 17", put new frets in. That should shave enough off you won't notice the thickness

Haha, thanks. I know any neck would feel like a couple softball bats glued together when compared to the Palaedium. Heck, my fingers can barely get around on my Fury now!
I just wanted to make sure that another 21 fret neck would fit without modifications in a pinch.

Well, on the plus/possible side: it is a first Gen '83 Foundy, which I find to be consistently awesome, and a cool color. If it were the dusty rose/pink one, I would have jumped on it for a buddy of mine who wants one desperately.
My 1.5" nut '87 Patriot neck has more shoulder than any other 1.5" Peavey neck I have. It feels quite thick, but I do like it-it's joined with a 86/87 Foundy body. Plus, it's a 21 fret neck and switches out with all my other 21 fret necks and 21 fret ready bodies (Dyna 4, 2 other Foundations, Forum Plus, a 1.75" Patriot and T45 (on Foundy body)).Haha, thanks. Seems hard to believe it went for that price.
Thats what I was thinking. 800.00 to me is just nuts. It is a nice looking bass and I happen to like gold, but wow.

I have an obsession for wood. The musical kind.
Prices on 99% of basses now are horrible. No way I'm paying over 1K for a Cirrus, when they were way less a year ago...Covid, Schmovid...people taking advantage of others because they can. No thanks.
Honestly. T40 prices have me on the floor. I got mine last April for 450, and I thought that was a bit high, but I wanted one with rosewood. Now I see them going for double that? Wild.
Used prices are on a bubble right now since new instruments are tougher to get. Once the supply chain gets flowing again used prices will come back down and thats across the board.
Nope... they were just undervalued before.
I used to buy Millenium 5s for $200... Reactors for $100... Foundations, Patriots and Fury for $75-80... GBasses for $250
