A pleasure @B-Mac. I have a medium size collection of old Monitor mags from the 80's 90's that I shared on the Peavey forum back on April 29, 2018..if you missed it the links are below. Yeah me either..The Patriot Bass is listed on the colour chart along with Patriot guitars..Banana Yellow..would love to see one..i'll have a look through my Monitor Mags..maybe a pic somewhere.
And now for part three of my USA Summertime Peavey extravaganza...
A while ago I missed out on a beautiful Peavey Foundation on Reverb over a lousy 50 bucks.Been kicking myself ever since
and told myself that if I ever saw another one in the same price range and same condition I'd buy it without trying to haggle.
I cam across this 1983 Foundation on CL Search Tempest.Was listed in Philly area. I texted the seller through CL and we decided to meet in person outside of Philly about an hour from me. He told me he also had it listed on Reverb which I was not aware of and he knocked the priced down since no shipping was involved.
Picked it up in person on August 8.

That's a beauty in awesome condition. I have a sister that lives in Philly and I occasionally check CL down there. There's one guy who always has a few Peavey's, is that the guy you bought it from? I got one from him last year, an '89 Pearl white Foundy with matched HS. Nice bass, although its the heaviest Foundation I have. The guy does a great job cleaning them up.

Do you have any more on the Koa Unity Dyna Basses? This is the finest bass I've played, though the guts did get replaced by a set of Aguilar's, and some high quality pots. It thumps like nuthin'

They body of my Foundriot is the Pearl White. I thought it was just plain ol' white when I ordered the body off ebay, the write up just said white, too. Was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I usually don't like white, but this particular Pearl White is really cool! Also, it hasn't aged to yellow like the Polar White Ibanez of the same era. Another win for Peavey!
I had noticed the TL has been due for some maintenance over the past few shows so I got her out earlier to get ready for tonight’s gig. We’ve been playing a lot outdoors this summer and I’ve been sweating all over the place during gigs and have been forgetting to give the bass (other than strings) a good wipe down at the end of the night. Got a good rag out and gave her a good wipe down. The output jack has been popping around too so I got a little deoxit (used very sparingly) and cleaned the jack. It was also time for a new battery so in one went. While I had the TL out I took some more photos and thought I’d share.
Some of you know the history of this bass. It was owned by Stu Cook and gigged extensively. Overall the bass is in good shape. Since I have owned it (4 years now) the only major thing I’ve had to do is have the frets leveled/crowned (professionally done) soon after I bought it. Everything else has been string changes, battery changes…..normal stuff. The battery box ring had a small crack in it so I have reinforced the entire thing with Loctite super glue gel. I think it should survive for a while. There are plenty of small surface dings, a couple of bigger dents, some buckle rash etc. I don’t think Stu’s tech was a big fan of string changes as there are big grooves behind the B and E strings where they pass through the bridge. I’d still rank this a good one for being an 89…what say you Peavey fam?

Couldn’t tell ya. His name was Sean. He needed some cash for one of his classic car restoration projects.
I'd say it's awesome ! I love hearing the words, "Gigged extensively". That is the sign of a player's bass. The more they get played by you, the more your hands subtlety mold the bass over time in all the right places, like where your thumb rests, etc. It becomes a part of you. Lee Sklar's bass has a fingerprint about 1/4" deep where his thumb rests. I love that stuff !!
That TL-Five gold bridge is gorgeous! Apparently, my Dyna Bass (1989) has the same bridge in black, see below.

I had a Gen 2 five string. It was a cool bass. In passive mode it sounded almost exactly like a Palaedium.
Dude...Giffro talks about his Dyna5 in this forum every other day...killer basses.
Chuck had one not too long ago as well.
