I suspect they are calling the condition good because of the knobs not matching. I don't see any damage on the bass....but the photos are not great. I am tempted but already own one. Here is mine with one of my Bubinga top Cirrus 5's.

I am with you on the angled headstock. I do not like dealing with that type of string retainer.
Honestly on a 3+2 headstock, a lot of the time those retainers are either a formality, or a bandaid for a nut that could use more angled slots. Of course, adequate wraps are necessary to get a good downward angle on the A especially, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you could roll without it on one of these.
If you like low action, you can not.

When discontinued they were being sold DIRT cheap.
I used to buy them for $150-175 (had tons of them)... set them up, unbolt the neck from the body and ship to Europe and Australia.
That's just UNBELIEVABLE !!!! That's literally like investing in gold, except you can't enjoy gold.
well... I owned a hoard foundations (long story why)... at the time I sold them, they all went for ~150ish in a contour case.. all with only a few hours of play time on them.
at that time, it was tough to find them a home.
When was that and where was I...? It's funny, back in the 80s and 90 when I was playing/partying all the time, the only Peavey bass i knew about was the T40. I so wish I had discovered Foundations/Patriots back then

How does a 90s Millennium Plus 5 compare to a 90s Dyna 5. I think they are both 34" scale and have the same VFL pickups, but do they have the same pre?
The Millennium Plus 5 is 35" scale, has Pau Ferro fingerboard, J/MM humbuckers and three band EQ with sweepable mid control.
The last model Dyna 5 has a completely different preamp with active/passive, master volume, master tone and active 3 band EQ. It does have VFL's.
They are not similar at all. I like them both very much but prefer the Millennium. The electronics in the USA Millennium basses are terrific. The Dyna has very good electronics.
Of course, this is just my opinion. YMMV
Just so you know, I own 4 Cirrus 3-5's and one 6, 1 Millennium Plus 5, a GV and a passive P/J Forum 4 string. I almost never play the Forum and usually play one of the 5 string basses at church.
Cirrus was the top of the line. Millennium Plus was next in order.

Ah, TL 5 is a great bass but made in two distinct generations. Gen 1 has Super Ferrite PU's and electronics like the Gen 1 Dyna basses. Gen two has VFL's and a three band preamp.
TL5 is 34" scale, has ebony fingerboard and figured Maple neck thru construction. Wood figure varies a lot so some are fantastic and others are rather plain maple.
Millennium Plus have alder bodies with a figured Maple top that is typically very beautiful.
The TL5 on GC site is a Gen 1 and has rather plain looking wood. Also those basses came with gold hardware so someone has changed the hardware.

I knew of all the 80s models from reading Monitor Magazine, but I discounted their value and utility because I was brainwashed by Fender. I did play a few of the Foundations, Patriots and Furys back then, but my take away was that they are good, but I liked Fender. It wasn't until the 21st Century when I revisited the 80s Peaveys based on reconciling my thoughts and had a revelation.
