So what does that mean ? Not to sound ignorant, but one fret makes a difference ?
So I couldn't switch them ?
I was thinking of defretting a t45 and siwtching the neck with a t-40.....
Overall length of the neck is probably different, so it's going to mess with your scale length. I dont know the specifics of those 2 models, but in general that would be your concern.
So the remedy is to move the bridge, or lengthen or shorten the neck pocket ?
There's no top loading option with T-40/45 bridges , they're through body strung.
Move the bridge you'll miss the string through ferrules. There's also a fairly large chunk gouged out under the bridges.
Minute you start bolting different parts together it's one issue after another.
If it's gonna be defretted, don't scale length issues kinda go out the window anyway? I mean, there's still pickup placement, but if you can ignore the lines where the frets used to be, and play by feel and ear, could it be pulled off? I don't do much modding, but this is just what popped into my head at 10pm a couple of beers in...
T40/45 Bridges always looked to me as if they have a very wide range of adjustability for intonation.
The thing that you can try is first if the 2 necks can be physically swapped without need for redrilling/modifying (that will lead only to pain and suffering, and severe depreciation of a good that is inexplicably very overvalued now).
Then you need to see if there is a "path to victory": so the possibility to set the saddles at a distance of 34" from the nut. If that's the case you won.

Yup! Id have to get one of the cool color ones...I like pink. Do these come with active electrics?
No, but there is a version that comes with active pickups (paired with VVT)
EDIT: Which should be the one currently for sale at GC judging by the poor picture... Active version has covered poles with "Peavey Active" written on some of the corners

Mine came with the original active electronics, but they crapped out. That's why I ended up with the Geezers.
Fretless (unlined) Gold Axcelerator on MGR. Looks to be in excellent condition. Weren't too many of these that were FL? Could be wrong.
