U.S. Peavey Club

Am I missing something or is this bass missing something...?Lol!

Peavey Fury PJ Black Bass Wit…

I like the rosewood board, and the cigaburn on the HS is classic!

Cheers!
I bet that shop is unaware of the rising value of Peavey and started the bidding at early 2000s pricing.
I'm sure it will bid up well into the $300s, maybe $400s. If I was looking for a Fury, that one would be high on the list.

That's the T-45 - I believe she's an '83 - love that bass to death! Just picked up a charcoal grey Dynabass that I'm loving as well.
Very cool !!! The T-45 is very nice. The knob does single coil / dual, right ? Charcoal Dyna is what I own, too. Love it ! I love that color. Welcome SabrePlayerAR from Arkansas ! (I'm guessing that's what it means):)

Hate to disappoint but I'm from NYC! The Sabre refers to my other bass - the Musicman Sabre I bought as a callow youth back in 1987. It was my main bass until this T-45 came along. They're so different from one another - the Dynabass kinda bridges them since it's got that active thing going. I actually got into Peavey basses after picking up a T-60 guitar a few years ago that actually makes me sound decent as an other-wise semi-competent player (damn guitars! Strings are so thin and the frets are so bunched up...) Glad to be a part of this club as I'm late to getting into Peavey instruments but glad I found 'em!

Oh yeah - and the knob does do the single to dual thing. I gotta say that the single coil sounds a lot weaker than the dual - I've got to crank the volume to account for the difference. Perhaps this is something a luthier could fix.

Oh ok, see we're getting to know you here. So what's the AR then ?

Today is a big day! my first 6 string Cirrus is arriving (see thumbnail) this afternoon!!!!

Last night was supposed to be dedicated to my midterm in math, but I could not help but pick up my 4 String Walnut Cirrus and play her proper before she heads to the closet (to temporarily make room for #3). I have been playing my 5 string fretless and forgot just how much I Love a 4 string Cirrus! Anyway, late in the evening I hit record on my zoom R8 and captured some of the tones. I really tried to capture a lot of the sounds the Cirrus has to offer. Please Enjoy!

P.S. Please don't judge me too harshly, consider the track 'Avant Garde' as it is entirely improv, so some imperfect timing/transitions throughout. Still can hear the great sounds of the Peavey though. Will be posting more pictures & more music (will be mastering the next one).

Happy Holidays Peavey Fans!
