Welcome Orsson ! As far as tuners go, I have no recommendations since I have Hipshot and a drop D on mine, but that's just me. I like them just fine and I don't know if the difference would be noticeable.

Just for kicks, I just put a set of Rotosound .35 - .95 on my Fury and haven’t been able to put it down. Even more effortless to play and no buzzes anywhere. They are great basss - I hope you enjoy yours.
Speaking of Fury basses, did Peavey ever make a USA 5-string P bass? I know there were import Fury 5-strings, but those weren’t a single P pickup.
After almost 40 years of playing and never having a P bass, I’m glad I found out about the Fury from you guys - it easily holds its own against many higher end basses, and for a fraction of the cost. I even preferred the stock pickup to the EMG GZR I tried in it.
It’s tempting to buy another one and string it BEAD, but that’s more of a band-aid than a real solution.

I could have swore someone added a string tree, I was going to ask what they used to drill into the carbon fiber weave without it pulling.
He screws are wood screws and do not go through the headstock.
Not that I know of, but if anyone knows, they are in this thread!
There are not a lot of 5 string P types out there. I think it might have to do with the split coil pickup. It sounds great on a 4, but looses a little something with a 5er. Too low-mid forward and smooth on top--makes the B a little soft sounding, IMO&E. Active electronics help a lot to make the B pop.
Actually I have had two P5 basses that were great sounding. I had a Fender and the the Squier. The Squier was so very close to the Fender that it was strange. Fender discontinued the Squier and they are highly sought after.

Did a vid of my modded GV, giving a little rundown on the features, showed some passive tones and then how close the bass can get to a Spector tone. I love that tone, but not the long lower-fret reach, or hindered upper-fret access. The GV/Cirrus has the best shape ever, imo. Btw, headphones help here!
Yeah I can definitely hear some Spector growl in there! Its interesting how close my maple/maple Cirrus gets to that tone as well. Still though, I'm missing that EMG reverse P/J magic. But I have a few Spectors already that will scratch that itch when I need it. I often joke with my music buddies that I could put a set of EMG P/J's in a block of cheese and it would sound awesome
Xentric says their knobs are for 6mm shafts. Do you know what the shaft size is on the Milly pre? I don't own a set of calipers.

The Milly/Cirrus sizes are 6mm for the regular knobs, and then 3mm for the tops on a concentric (stacked) shaft. Kiesel is the same way for some reason. So, the Xcentric knobs, maybe for the 3mm knobs, might not fit. One person on here used an Xcentric on the bottom knob for the mid sweep, but looks like the stock Peavey knob for the top.
Honestly, even though the shipping isn't cheap, but really fast, Warwick has the only other knobs that have these smaller shaft sizes (that I know of). They have a boatload of colors and designs for metal knobs, as well as wood ones, and also the only company I know of that has stock knobs with inlays on the stacked knobs. I've ordered from them a few times (usually enough other stuff added on to justify shipping, too...magnetic parts tray, fret protectors, etc). Considering the fast shipping time, and how nice and solid their knobs are, I don't mind the extra cost, which is still way cheaper than custom knobs.
I have two regular knobs and two stacked knobs with the brown/red inlays, all in chrome, if you're interested.
Thank you for the info. I'm considering ordering a couple of the Autumn Pearl sets for my two Milly's. (orange for the tobacco sunburst & green for the black teal one) The set you put on your G bass looks really nice. Maybe on the stacked knobs use the Xentric bottoms and stock tops like mb94952 did? The black stock knobs are fine and all but those orange ones really gave that bass some pop imo. Just thinking out loud at this point I guess.
edit: might even consider ordering the concentric knobs from Warwick if I can get close in color. Thanks for the tip about Warwick.

I have a '00 Fender US Dlx P V. I have a '97 US Dlx J V and '14 Dlx Dimension H V that I love, the P rounded out the collection. The P V was the top of of my short list for over a decade until I finally found one that ticked all the boxes--black, not boogered up with mods or wear and tear, reasonably priced. These tend to go for way more $$ since they are the least produced version in the line. It sounds and plays really great (the 5 string tone is not as good as the J and Dimension), but I have a feeling the active electronics help it pop. The JJ style bridge pickup is a great match for the split coil in both volume and tonality. It's a little odd that they configured the coils with the B & E neckwear and the A D & G bridgeward. IF I were so inclined to really mod this thing out, I would do some routing and get a new pickguard to reverse the P pickup and put the bridgeward coil on the B E &A and the neckward coil on the D&G. The much more common 4 string versions (of which I had 2) were configured as expected, but I wanted the 5 string.
Back to Peavey!!!
