There’s a store on eBay with the Hipshot EB4 Xtenders, in both black and chrome. These are sort of hard to find, they retrofit the Schaller equipped basses of the 70s-early 90s.

Has anyone had luck or experience having hardware plated (screws, knobs, tuners, bridge etc)?

Guessing there is some spec of electro plating that would be affordable and successful.

Fella in Texas asked me to keep an eye out for one. His plan it to strip and gut it then reassemble with new parts.

Expensive pristine examples are definitely off the menu

I contacted a local plating company about having my stock Cirrus bridge plated, it was not cheap. For a little more I was able to get a brand new Hipshot A-style.

An old customer of mine had an early 70's tele that was his brothers or something, so he wanted to keep the stock parts. He took the parts to a motorcycle shop and had them plated, had the body painted also (cool WW2 bomber motif, sorry no pics) I had to put it all back together for him.

Call around and get prices if you are determined to keep the stock parts. It's a lot of nasty stuff for a DIY, leave the chemicals to the pros.

well.. it's an early 90s fury --- to the best of my knowledge there is no direct bridge replacement

I think a Gotoh 203B-4 will do the trick.
Stew Mac shows a line drawing of it so you can check dimensions.
Not sure if it's a fit but sure looks like what we all have.

I got a 201 and a millenium BXP bridge on my fury

it’s very similar
Should fit okay

I saw that one right when it first popped up, almost hit it. Really like that burst finish. Pretty nice price, too.

I just measured it out, looks to be a drop in with two more anchor holes. Ordered one, so we'll see when it gets here.

I have an issue with my TL-Five I'm hoping you guys might can help with.

The preamp is powerful! But I notice that the mids is especially powerful. If I turn it all the way up, it is EXTREME and unlistenable. I have to really be careful not to turn the mid knob up too far or it just becomes distorted and extreme. I have a hunch that it should not be this way. Any tips?

I have owned several Generation 2 TL5's and none of them had anything strange about the preamp.
