Already beyond excited. It’s worth note that the body was drilled for the older bent steel type, whereas my 91 red body had the later style bent plate bridge. Interestingly enough, my 91 foundy FL also had the old style bridge, and the early body style/headstock shape. 90/91 were funny years. I don’t ever recall seeing a small body foundation like this in sunburst.

I need to get some bits on order for the string through conversion, and I also have brass saddles on order for an older Fender deluxe bridge that supports string through, but has saddles with variable spacing notches, which I can’t stand. Progress will probably be a little slow, but I’m stoked beyond stoked.

Ah... that sort of changes my suggestion.
The Foundation S just tied with the Patriot to compliment your Peaveys.
Since you don't have a Peavey with a split coil/P type pickup...
However, you might have some other P bass type, so I don't know...

Peavey basses that sound different from basses made by other companies are the ones I'm drawn toward first.
T40, T45, T20/Gen 1 Slant Fury, Patriot, Foundation, Dyna, Cirrus, Millennium, G Bass.

Everybody sells a split P Bass, a Jazz Bass, and a PJ Bass.
I do still prefer a Gen 2 & Gen 3 Fury over many other P basses offered by other companies though...just love the Peavey necks.

Are you certain of this? The one I have has alnico pickups, unless you're talking about the active versions, which could certainly be ceramic. I actually quite liked the pickups that came in my B-Ninety. The way Peavey did it was weird though - they didn't use pickup foam, but hot glued the pickups into the covers, and used springs. I tend to see a lot of B-Ninety's where the glue has given up and the pole pieces are falling into the body while the cover is held up by the springs. I'm not certain my pickups are original, but mine had this issue as well, and I doubt its a coincidence.

My B-Ninety originally had active pickups, they sounded fine to me. The split P crapped out on me, and since I prefer passive pickups and had been interested in the EMG Geezer set, I just pulled out the originals and slapped 'em in. I definitely think the bass sounds better now, but I wonder if the problem was what you're talking about.
I really dig the neck on it, and the bridge and tuners are all great as far as I can tell. Plus it's hot pink, so I got that going for me...

The problem I described with the glue was on the passive pickups. I’m sure the active pickups were epoxied, so probably an internal pre going bad, would be my guess with yours.

I can tell by looking at it. About half my Peavey 4 strings have the 1.5" nut, the other half are the 1 3/4".

My main gigs on bass these days are playing music for kids and families, so the pink Peavey is perfect. The other one I use for those shows is covered in stickers...

Why do so many people like pink basses? .....it is the last color I would choose for a bass.
White, cream, natural wood with clear-coat, black, deep blue, racing green, sunburst, tobacco burst ...anything but red or especially pink.

I bought a 1990 Yamaha Attitude Standard bass a couple months ago for $200.
It's what they call Lava Red (that Billy Sheehan asked for) and it's more Magenta than red.
Worse yet, the pickguard is white, my last choice of pickguard color.
I don't like the way it looks, but the build quality on these basses is so good and the necks are amazing, I had to buy it.

Same reason as I don't like white, black, sunburst ,,,I'll take the red ones

My 87 Patriot originally had the 1.5" nut neck. I did find a 85 1.75" nut neck with the double lines. Not sure if all double line ones are 1.75", but I have seen some single pinstripe Patriots with 1.75" in the wild, too.
Here's a couple pics of said bass with the two different necks: you can see the more exaggerated taper of the narrow nut, the slightly wider string spacing and the nut relative to the truss rod cover (except with my covers--they are both homemade and not consistent ). Of course, it all depends on the camera angle and the distortion that causes.
