Speaking of Milli 5’s I just saw a sweet US model on the GC site labeled as a BXP for $349 with a case (!). Tried a few times to buy it but it won’t go into my cart which means likely it’s accounted for. I hope someone here snagged it. SMOKING deal!

Congratulations on a great score. That is a pretty one.
I have sold two basses recently to friends for what I paid, foregoing a profit, which were both good bargains. I'm not a believer in karma, but sometimes things go your way! I nearly dropped a grand on the 5er on reverb... Glad I was patient.
I called to verify pictures were of the model I was buying. They knew it was a USA over the phone!
I’ve lost count of how many insane deals I’ve got from GC used based on the general incompetence of the staff LOL. And yes I think karma came right back your way on that deal. Congrats!!
One of the best deals I have gotten from GC was a Cirrus 5 that I got delivered to my home for about $700. I don't recall the exact price. It was listed in great condition but was not quite that good as it had some dents and dings that put it in about good condition. Most all of that steamed out and after I put a fresh coat of oil finish on it and got everything properly set up it turned out to be a magnificent player. It remains in my collection and the tone is to die for.
I bought a Millennium Plus 5 off Craigslist. JimmyFwl found that one for me but by the time I had it shipped it was right at $1000. Still, it is a killer bass and worth every penny.
Another great buy I made off GC's site is a GK MB210II that I got for $347 delivered. They go for $899 new. Mine had some dings that I touched up and now it looks great and sounds better.

There is a T20 at Guitar Center for $349.
It's ash bodied and it has all the original parts.
It looks to be in good shape and everything looks straight, they must have made it on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Well, I play your GV the most. So I'm torn with calling one or the other the best. Since I got the GV, my Forum has stayed at my bandmate's house. We haven't jammed at his place much since COVID hit and it was really nice to dust it off the other day.
For me, the only thing stopping me from calling the Forum the best is that it's heavy as sin.
The neck on the Forum seems like the GV neck without the wrap. Both are 35" and the unfinished quarter sawn maple feels a bit more petite than the GV. It's just the perfect 5 string neck. I have a nice Milli, too. But it's neck feels awkward in comparison.
The pickups are great. I think they are VFLs. It's 18v. And the pickup placement is just perfect. The neck pickup is slightly closer to the bridge. The shape of the pickups make for a great thumb rest, too. I had to add a thumb rest to the GV before my right hand felt comfortable.
String spacing is important on a 5 string. The Forum and GV are the same and both are perfect. I have an Ibanez fretless and the spacing is too tight. And I have a Epiphone Les Paul and the spacing is too wide.
And it's probably due to the heft of the ash body, the B sounds like the finger of God. But man, is it heavy.
I bought a Forum AX 5 string off Ebay. It was like new in the case and had a lovely sunburst finish. It was the heaviest bass I have ever owned. It played great, sounded heavenly but I sold it before ever taking it out of the house. It weighed over 12 pounds. I have owned 3 exceptionally heavy basses....that Forum AX 5, a Roscoe SKB 6 and a Stingray 5. The Forum and Stingray had ash bodies and the Roscoe had a mahogany body with a maple top. They were hands down 3 of the best sounding basses I have ever played.
For those who like the all black look, Patriot with matching black headstock and converted to fretless on CL. From picture, looks as though previous owner did OK job on removing frets. Difficult to tell exactly. (No affiliation).

since the G bass is very similar to the L1000 G&L

No, looks like a gen 1 import to me. Nice bass; good price, very gig-able.
