I recently had an acquaintance over to my house, and he saw all my Cirrus's hanging on the wall...he was awe-struck at how beautiful they were. He is a random guitarist with no sense, and he had no idea they were Peavey's. When I told him they were made by Peavey, and I showed him the rest of my Peavey basses, he was somewhat impressed, but he said "Man if I were you, I'd get a Gibson or a Fender"

I pulled the Bubinga 5 down off the wall and handed it to him, and said "Please tell me which basses Fender or Gibson makes that compare to this?" As I pointed out the price I paid for it ($800), the neck-thru construction, wood combinations, and active VFL's, as well as the fact that it weighs a whopping 8 lbs.
He could not name one.
