Also, IIRC, the block Peavey logo came about right with Eddie Van Halen came on board with the 5150. He didn't want that Pointy/Space logo on "his" amps.You are correct. Peavey trademarked it in 1991. The squiggle looks like it might represent a sound wave which would be appropriate, but I may be overthinking it. Peavey didn't renew it, so that trademark expired in 2016.

Haha. He had a genius amp designer at a massive company to see his vision through. However, it was the early 90s, Peavey was still a 2nd class citizen.
I remember seeing the Triangle/Squiggle logo mostly on the PA/Sound gear, too.
