I bought the foundation neck along with a Pat neck off reverb a while back...and it's paid off. I had the neck plate added, I think they're cool. I really like how thorough the bill is, I'm lucky to have found this guy, he does awesome work.
This is a great playing bass now, I'm really happy with it.

Your tech is extremely reasonable. Wish I had someone like that nearby.

So I have posted before about my beloved Forum 5's neck before. I just became the proud owner of Chuck's old fretless Cirrus. And I have to say, my boat—anchor Forum is still my favorite 5 string neck.

Today, I pulled out the calipers and measured at the 12th fret.

Forum 5: ~61.75mm

Cirrus (which feels very close to my Milli which is at a friend's house): ~63.00

And for comparison on the, "this porridge is too narrow" side, my Ibanez SRF705: ~60.00

And for comparison on the, "this porridge is too wide" side, my baseball bat necked (which happens to have a baseball bat stuck in it) Epiphone Les Paul: ~68.30

That ticks all the boxes: Cool parts project with a unique body color and awesome looking neck, Super Ferrite, P knobs, trapezoid bridge, cool Peavey neck plate, flats. All expertly assembled for a great deal. Good to go!

That single Milly is the "when my fire happened (did)"... that one was the magic instrument that ran out with me.


Funny -- this all was from the era TB thought I was nutz... for some strange reason, I'd find them... set them up... toss the case ... fix them up... and ship them disassembled to Australia...... man if I just had the rainbow of Milly5s that went through here

Oh no. You might have to fully remove the preamp and start looking at every connection, every solder joint, etc... in great detail. It could be the smallest strand of wire causing a short. PITA, but sounds like it has to happen anyway.
