Foundation 5 - feedback??

If I remember, this configuration was mostly shipped with the dyna preamp and hardware.
I can't ever remember playing one in office mode. Guessing it's sounds like a jbass for this era

I had one of these, and actually wish I'd kept it. Mine did NOT have a preamp, it was completely passive, and if I recall correctly, those are humbuckers. I do remember that it was silent when not played. The knobs are probably Vol-Blend-Tone, but it's been a few years for me. I do know that there was no preamp, because I was planning to add one. Great bass tho!
This beauty was on Guitar Center used the other day and when I went to put it in my cart someone had snatched it up already.
Weirdly it was back on the site today so I bought it. IMO GC is a great place to buy used because I can just return it to a local store of they misgraded it or it comes with other issues.

It was graded as "excellent" but I am still holding my breath. The back could look like a buckle rashed mess. If so, instant return. I only really bought this one as a collectors piece.
I think it looks really clean, and I get a feeling you are gonna get a case with it.
Thanks. A case would be amazing but I am not expecting it. Normally I don't like to buy guitars in the cold weather, but in this case I made an exception. I just wonder why it was unavailable for a couple days and then popped back up on the site. Too short a time to have shipped to another buyer and then relisted at the exact same store.
Because I ordered it at nIght and cancelled the order first thing in the morning!

Ceramic single coils nestle under those VFL shells , in a change from the earlier SF 5'er the pickup blades are wide enough to span the strings.

Foundation was always passive. Never shipped with a pre-amp. The active foundations were the dynabasses. You know this.
As far as that era, they're not bad at all. Not Super Ferrite awesome, but solid sounding single coils in soapbar shells. Sound fine.
