As Lee said...a link would be helpful so the boys here can nail down what it is.I'm seeing NEW Peavey basses on Facebook Marketplace for $280. What are they?
Foundation 5 - feedback??
The owner of the five (in photo) contacted me.
If I remember, this configuration was mostly shipped with the dyna preamp and hardware.
I can't ever remember playing one in office mode. Guessing it's sounds like a jbass for this era
That's an awesome bass right there! Congrats. Looks like great condition. This beauty was on Guitar Center used the other day and when I went to put it in my cart someone had snatched it up already.
Weirdly it was back on the site today so I bought it. IMO GC is a great place to buy used because I can just return it to a local store of they misgraded it or it comes with other issues.
Looks to be in excellent shape. I already have a gorgeous black Fury, but these Candy Apple Red ones are just too good to pass up, especially with the original knobs, which my black one didn't have.

It was graded as "excellent" but I am still holding my breath. The back could look like a buckle rashed mess. If so, instant return. I only really bought this one as a collectors piece. That's an awesome bass right there! Congrats. Looks like great condition.

I think it looks really clean, and I get a feeling you are gonna get a case with it.I stand corrected
Thanks. A case would be amazing but I am not expecting it. Normally I don't like to buy guitars in the cold weather, but in this case I made an exception. I just wonder why it was unavailable for a couple days and then popped back up on the site. Too short a time to have shipped to another buyer and then relisted at the exact same store.I think it looks really clean, and I get a feeling you are gonna get a case with it.
Because I ordered it at nIght and cancelled the order first thing in the morning! Thanks. A case would be amazing but I am not expecting it. YOu serious? If so, why'd you do that?Because I ordered it at nIght and cancelled the order first thing in the morning!
No, as has already been pointed out; strictly passive. All imported hardware. If I remember, this configuration was mostly shipped with the dyna preamp and hardware.

Ceramic single coils nestle under those VFL shells , in a change from the earlier SF 5'er the pickup blades are wide enough to span the strings.
Bought mine for £50, one of the few Peaveys I know will turn a profit![]()
