I'm obsessed with my Ferrites. Sound so open and hi fi compared to my P bass. In fact, sold my black and maple P bass yesterday because my slant Fury well.....kicks its ass. Here's the P I got rid of.

Aye, just fine and dandy.
Doesn't weigh much, tuners/bridge/frets/TR all working great 20+ years down the line.
Pickups are a wee bit mellower compared to SFs, more akin to a jazz with alnico.
It's a perfectly good bass
Because I have a perfectly good ash Gen 1 Fury here and I definitely don't need another bass. But when I see a great bass in great condition, I get trigger happy.
They already shipped it out so I can't more pics but did you get any further info on it?

I have been thinking about selling my TL-6 bass. I don't know, it's not like I can find another one. I've got the gas bad.
I did not get more info on it, I saw it late at night and pulled the trigger because it looks like it's in great condition and has been cared for, it's all original parts, and the neck looks like a great piece of wood.
I woke up and went and looked at nine basses in my "office"...five of which are Peaveys, and one of which is a Gen 1 Fury.
I just don't need any more doubles here, I've got Gen 1, 2 & 3 Furys, the Gen 2 & 3 are completely redundant with the same pickup in each.
Been seriously considering selling my 2006 MusicMan, why then should I buy a second Gen 1 Fury when I already have a good one.
If anything, a bass I don't have would make more sense.
I hope your new Gen 1 Fury is as good as I think it is gonna be.
I regularly consider selling mine but it is my only six string bass and the only one I've ever comfortably played so it stays. I don't even count it as it generally hibernates in the case, in the closet, in the back of the studio...in the hole in the bottom of the sea....
I have to say that I went thru a similar thought process as my main player is a black Gen 1 Fury and I truly don't need the Red one. But at $349 I'm sure I can resell it if I need to and damn that color is just classy as all hell. Out of respect for your decision allowing me to end up with the bass I will remember your handle and if I ever decide to sell it I'll give you first dibs.
You have become a Peavey Phreak, and I love it.
Guilty as charged. I am in the process of selling all my other non peavey basses except for a 4003 and strangely enough my Kramer D1. The Kramer isn't the best bass in the world, but at a little over 6 lbs it's an awesome practice bass. But I'm Peavey all the way. I've owned so many other makes and models (Fenders, Gibsons, Musicmans etc) and I cannot for the life of me see anywhere where Peavey cut corners on these older basses. They're like Cadillacs and Lincolns.....extremely well built and appointed and just ooze high class quality.
Well said and I agree on every point. I play basses and ALWAYS come back to Peavey because nothing comes close ! Like you, I have a few non-Peaveys, but it's out of nostalgia, or a special circumstance like my Alembic does what it does really well. As I've said before, show me an Alembic owner and you'll see a Peavey in their arsenal, as well.
It's funny, a few weeks ago I was at rehearsal and the BL asked what kind of bass I'm playing. Before I could answer the guitar player said, "That's a Peavey Cirrus." He was more excited to tell the BL than I was. Marc and I have been playing since 2008 together on and off and I was playing nothing but my Cirrus for all these years. He knows how awesome they are. I was playing them before the masses was onto them. It always brings me some weird satisfaction to know that I was right all along...

That used to be my body actually. I sold it to the member who’s selling it now. My neck developed a huge ski jump so I sold the body.
Where would you ever find the proper neck for that body? I never see any advertised.
I've had a couple days to recover, so now I can talk about it. A guy posted a bass for $50 on FB marketplace - he's in a town about 45 minutes from me. I couldn't get there before another guy bought it. It was a black USA Forum P/J 
As someone who routinely takes the necks off my Foundations, Patriots and Furies and replaces them with 32" Warmoth becks, I have some lying around but am too busy to post them. I also, when buying off Reverb, try to buy the body only and see if the seller wants to sell the neck separately (I just bought the body off a Dyna and the neck should go up for sale shortly). A lot of the Peavey necks seem interchangeable at least in my experience (before I went medium scale, I was partial to the late 80s/90s Fury necks).
