Turned out it wasn't too difficult.

Had a Foundation, Fury and Palaedium stacked next to each other :)

Biggest difference between Foundation and 1st gen Fury is nut width. Got 1" 11/16th on my Fury, 1" 5/16th on the Foundation. At frets 1,7 and 12 the Foundation was just over a 16th thinner front to back. Width at pocket measured the same for both.

Super helpful. Seems like the foundation is not too much thinner at the nut, but probably enough for my hands to notice.

Are you sure about 1" 5/16th..??...that would make the nut width just over an inch and a quarter!
I measured a number of skinny Peavey necks today and they are all pretty close to 1 - 1/2 inches at the nut (just under for some reason, I thought they were 1 - 1/2" until today).
The 1983 Peavey Foundation manual is calling out 1.5" nut width

That's ok. Even at 1.5" I'm gonna pass on a Foundie. Just too damn thin. I need 1.75 minimum. I love baseball bat necks. My favorite neck of the basses I own is a 2019 4003S Rick with the chunkiest neck I ever played. My early 80's Peavey's are next. Perfect width, but a tad skinny from front to back. Still comfortable as hell though.

My Yamaha Attitude 1 - 11/16" wide nut/shallow depth necks are pushing the 1.5" nut Peaveys to the side a bit....now I wish all my Peaveys had the T20/T45 neck on them!
Those Yamahas pushed my 1985 Guild Pilot completely to the side, the Pilot used to feel great, I finally sold it last month after it sat for a year or more.
I think the Peavey wide nut/shallow depth neck and the Yamaha Attitude neck were designed to mimic the Fender 1.75 nut/shallow depth Precision necks of the old days.

I love the 1.5" nut width as found on many Peaveys (especially as the 80s rolled along) and 4 string Jazz basses. I had a 93 Foundation that was 1.4" at the nut. It was also noticeably thinner front to back when compared to my favorite 84 Foundation and 87 Patriot necks, and by far the thinnest neck I have played. The majority of my Foundation/Dyna/Forum Plus necks are pretty much the same. The 87 Patriot neck has a touch more depth and shoulder up past the 5th fret or so.

I also love the 1.75" nut width found on the early Peaveys. My T45 and 85 double underline Patriot neck are nearly identical, as is the neck on my 1st Gen Dyna 5! They clearly just took one of the 1.75" necks and drilled it for 5 tuners and cut an appropriate nut. I agree that profile is a riff on the late 50s style P neck, as I have played a couple originals as well as several vintage reissues and they feel similar/great, too. Fender also brought that neck profile back in 83/84 with the Standard and Elite P basses. It's my favorite neck profile for 4 string. Even my clubby 51 P neck now takes 2nd place to it.

I have both late and early model Fury's both have same width at nut 1.5"
The difference is in the depth front to back. Early fury is 2 mm thicker front to back...more C than D shaped.

Here is a detailed comparison of those two bases I did some time ago....

I have two foundations a mid and and late model version, both have 1.5 nut width and similar front to back thickness.

Neck is "chunkier" (rounded) and is glossy (not naked wood)

I play a GV neck frequently, I find the cirrus neck to be a stable neck.
