They could make a movie where an old upright and National guitar and some horns tell some eager young electrics a story of the start of electric blues and rock n roll and in the end they could have an old-school revival in which the old timers get to show their chops...? Yeah!!
Marvel and Jack Daniels , I still see the JD EXP models turn up fairly regularly.
There was also NASCAR colours but that was a totally different deal. Guy who owned the Nascar merch rights bought a bunch of Reactor guitars then had some other guy respray them, Peavey's only involvement was selling them the guitars.
I have wondered if this Foundation is factory built, what you say Davie?

I dont remember the JD Foundation, but I remember the JD G-Bass.
Anything is possible but by the JD time , Peavey US production had been scaled down to just Cirrus and Millennium then just Cirrus.
Jack Daniel's would get a healthy cut from each instrument so Peavey followed the well worn path of using surplus stock from discontinued models
Suspect a J D pinstripe was quicker, easier and cheaper to get right than the 3 piece No.7 hence it's use, also it's clearer to read .
it came with the case for $370!
the pickup ring is upside down, weirdly, but all the electronics work!

Can anyone help me interpret a US Peavey serial number to determine the date of manufacture? I tried the Peavey serial number lookup already, but all that's returned is "Your product was produced in 1995 or later".

Millenniums launched in 2000 and all models were discontinued by 2004 so your bass was some time between the two.
OK, thanks for that...so there's no specific year/month date code you can tell by way of the serial?
my 2001 number starts 1143xxxx and my (late) 2000 starts 1122xxxx. So IF they are sequentially numbered I wood guess yours is an early 2000. I got my info from a super nice guy at Peavey Customer & Tech Support in Mississippi. (877) 732 - 8391. No idea if it's still valid but worth a try. M-F standard business hours. Good luck.

Yous Peavey fans see this Forum on Reverb? Price seems pretty reasonable for a USA Peavey these days. Seller's feedback looks good. Not a super common model, this one has the always cool, Daphne Blue-esque finish to boot. If I didn't already have one just like it, I'd snag it in a heartbeat. Might be on the heavy side weight-wise (mine is), but sound-wise these Forums are absolute bulldozers.
