Lately I have been playing my old "smoker" Foundation (85). Thin neck RW board. I had it gone through and set-up lower than any bass I have ever had...plays like a dream, and has "the" sound. Whoever owned this before me played the sh't out of it, so the neck is like butter.
My second Gen Fury is a bit wider (1-5/8?) at the nut with a rounder profile, all maple neck. I'll never part with it easy to play and killer sound.
I have Patriots with all neck types...I guess I lean toward the narrower but I still love the wider Pat neck. I may lean toward Rosewood, but it's not something I really think about.
The T40 and T20 get a little big for me, but I'd still rock 'em!
Besides "the smoker" one of my favorites is my Gen 1 Fury with Foundation neck RW board...and my duel pickup Patriot (narrow all maple) is right up there on my faves list
The short answer is 80s Peavey necks for me.
