Whoa! I knew mine was on the light side but that could be the heaviest I have heard of...
My forum was a boat anchor too, one of the reasons I sold it. Really well crafted bass, just wasn’t my cup of tea after trying to get into it for 7 or 8 years lol
I'm guessing the bottom horn may be to long with the new body style...? If you can see the case you may be able to tell if the long pointy horn would fit.
Funny, my 3 heaviest basses are not Peavey
1. 72 Jazz (ash) 10#12oz (which was noticeably lighter than the 76 ash Precision it displaced)
2. 21 Squier CV 70s Jazz V (soft maple) 10#8oz
3. 84 G&L El Toro (pretty sure it's maple) 10#1oz
My heaviest Peaveys
87 FoundRiot (87 Foundation body with 87 Patriot neck) 9#15oz
83.5 T-42.5 (85 Foundation body with two Toaster pickups and 82 T45 neck). 9#12oz
84 Foundation 9#11oz
All of the above balance perfectly, so they don't feel as heavy as they seem.
Though it was my #1 from 1992-1999, I haven't gigged the 72 J in over 15 years, but it does go to practices now and then. The El Toro doesn't gig, either. I'm sort of protecting them from theft.
All the others gig on the regular, especially the Squier and 84 Foundy.
Hmm.... Just got a line on a B-90. Needs a new P pickup. $175.....

Decent bass, cheaper hardware. I think there were active and passive ones but don't quote me.
If the rest of the bass is in great condition, I might offer 150....if I had a spare P pup laying around.
I've got a better opinion of them than many do. I bought one ~5 years ago, $170 with the original case and a small amp. It was the active version, and the P pickup took a crap. I pulled out the original electronics and put the EMG GZR P/J set in. It's a really nice bass now, never had any problems with the bridge or tuners. I really like the neck on it, and since it's bright sparkly pink it turns some heads too!
I remember that.....it's a sick bass in that color combo. You changed my mind then about these basses. Rock on!
The B-90's are all active. The Forum P/J was made for 2 years passive and then switched to active.
Passive model was the only Peavey bass to get alnico mag pickups, also have slightly wider necks too, 40mm nut.
Paid £66 for mine with Gotoh bridge, Duncan Antiquity PJs and a Steve Bailey preamp.

I can't figure out why so many people love pink basses, I hate pink basses.
I don't like pink clothes on women, or even on baby girls.
I have a pink (magenta really) bass that Yamaha seems to think is Crimson, it's a great bass but I would like it better in any other color.

I agree, but the blue version floats my boat a whole lot better.
If I had unlimited funds for funny basses, I'd do a relic Sherwood Green over Pink Paisley.

I like pink ok...not my first color. That Paisley pink fender is killer and the darker pink forum says "I'm here to play!" Side by side I would probably choose the Teal colored Forum. I'm thinking of doing a Patriot in aged shell pink with a white pearloid PG...
