Yes I use the Asat,but bought it on whim. Both the T40,and T20 are in good condition from what I can tell from the pictures. I think both of the Peaveys are about same trade value wise as what I have invested in the Asat.

God those look like they are in gorgeous condition. I'd be tempted. Also, I have a Peavey Fury I'm modding soon with G&L MFDs and wiring...stay tuned...perhaps it will make you in the market to round out your Peavey collection

I've heard and played, but haven't owned Super Ferrites, so its hard for me to say how much like the originals these are. But I can say I love the sound of them. Below are some quick samples.
Recorded straight into an IK Multimedia Axe I/O interface
First 10 short lines are the bridge pickup soloed with the ToneStyler knob at each of ten settings.
Next 4 are the neck pickup soloed at 100%, 67%, 33%, and 0% tone settings (orange drop .47)
The final samples are both pickups with both tone knobs at about 67%

That sounds really good I'm listening on a phone so definitely not the best speakers but I really liked what I heard it would be nice of we could do a side by side comparison thank you for clips
The shootout we are planning to do in the next few weeks will do stock 1987 SFs against both the new 916 SFs and the 916 Neos side by side, fingerstyle, pick and slap.

Pretty sure Peavey generally paired SFs with .02uf caps.
It was .02 on Foundations and Furys, would need to open up my Dyna to see what's in there.
FWIW, I look at the pragmatism of instruments. I love G&L. I have an El Toro and have nothing but respect and reverence to it. The ASAT is a really cool bass, however, it's not as balanced and comfortable as it's electronically identical brother, the L2000. The Tele body style of the ASAT is known for mostly neck diving, the Precision body style of the L2000 doesn't neck dive nearly as badly nor as often as the ASAT.
if a T40 and fretless T20 came my way, I might just swap them out. As we all know, those T series Peaveys have had their comeuppance in the market and are not going backwards in value. G&L has it's collectability, but it's mostly the 80s era stuff that is desired at this point.
Plus, in the grand scheme of things, this is a Peavey thread. haha.
