The owner just contacted me and provided a catalog page verifying that it came with hipshot tuners and the D tuner. I am totally amazed.

Why, just Peavey being frugal.
They had a bunch of D-tuners in the stores dept, left-overs from the discontinued RJ-IV basses.
Very good.Ive seen lots of Peavey basses at a dealer over the years but never saw one with a factory D Tuner.

You and me both! They apparently did it on the RJ-IV basses as well.
Here's my RJ-IV.
You can see the factory fitted D-Tuner better from the back.
I don't have a snap of the Millennium Plus from the back.
Reckon in all the years I've owned them I've flipped that D-tuner lever a grand total of once
Drop D tuners were in the blue paper "menu" options book. Some models had them as a default for a while.
Yeah my RJIV has a drop tuner
but it actually broke I contacted hipshot and I sent it to them and they repaired it for me!
I have Emg Pax and JVX
On the stock preamp I swapped some caps on
But I think I might revisit it because I use the wrong type so I have a bunch of regular electrolytic caps when it should be the other style (I forgot the name lol)
Although I do recall seeing that it was 80s garden-variety tech someone was saying (rip)
how many eventually look at switching out

On a sidenote I was looking at my Snapchat memories and I saw my old hollow flake GV
I was told it had a ramp was slightly mended using some fret levelling
I ended up selling it
I always like the sound and the fatness it has to it
But I also miss my Bolton Peavey cirrus
For the bottom and tightness and growl
Although my G5 had some growl it was quite different. But still very good
When I really wish I had was a composite neck for a bolt on cirrus…
I have a series 5 bolt on body I got from amber and it’s green…
I have plans to repaint the body some point
I was told it had a ramp was slightly mended using some fret levelling

TBH, I prefer D standard to gizmos; lessens the chance I'll mess up from 100% to just around 50%
I both love this and don’t know how to feel about this. I’m not sure why but I really don’t like VFL pickups.
I think that, because my only bass that has them is running an Aguilar OBP-3 and that might not be the best preamp pairing for those pickups, I may just not have a large enough sample size. When I hear people play Cirrus’ online, they sound awesome…my 32” Cirrus Lite (Rudy K. Garzo in my sig)…does not at all sound Cirrus-y.
There….now I’m sure why. Because I don’t like how they sound in the one bass I have with them in it
My 32" Warmoth neck should be shipping realllll soon, so I got my NOS body sanded and oiled up.
Can’t wait to see how this project comes out sir!!!
Let me know when Peavey brings back the B Quad. Complete with all the crazy piezo electronics and graphite neck.
Aguilar OBP-3 and that might not be the best preamp
Out of the hundreds of basses I've owned,... this is the only preamp I've paid to have removed.
I think they must be looking for a more delicate bridge piezo wire....
Can't see that happening.
The B-Quad design belongs to Brian Bromberg not Peavey and Brian has been partnered with Carvin/Kiesel the last 12-13 years. Not only would it cost Hartley big bucks to entice Brian to return, he'd have to dig extra deep; Brian's relationship with Peavey left a sour taste.
