Now, here is another interesting perspective: how much do you project the US Cirrus models will inflate in value after this release? I paid $900 for each of my Cirrus 6 models and even less for my custom shop, five string fretless between 2002 - 2012. I just paid $1,300 for my latest Cirrus 6 in December. I'm guessing we will be seeing costs at $2,000+ before we can blink an eye. Just my thoughts! I do think they did a better job building the new Cirrus than I initially expected but I'm looking forward to hearing one in person.

That looks to me more like the Pearl Heather (purple-ish) foundation not the Pearl Rose (pink)...rare indeed!
I've no idea but I wasn't really talking about the used market, just how this will be received.
The previous Cirrus release , 2017, was a dud. It had nothing to do with the product, poor sales was the reason. Peavey went through a growth spurt in the 80's thanks to international sales. The opening of their Corby, England plant gave them an inroad to Europe, which they actively pursued;
Hartley's 1983 revelation.

It was a sound business decision for many years. Trouble was in 2017, not a single overseas distributor ordered the Cirrus reissue. That presented Peavey with plenty of problems, the marketplace had shrunk dramatically, they had no MIA kudos this time around and finally that smaller market already had USA models selling used for 30% less than their new imported line.
Today Peavey's international status is almost non-existent. The US Cirrus was discontinued in 2010, BXP versions around 2014, Grinds in 2015 and the 2017 Cirrus never happened. For almost 10 years, the only new Peavey basses sold have been the Milestones. I think to step from £229 bass to £3k bass is beyond consumer's reasoning.
I bought a used Dean bass ($300) that was made in Czech Republic. (same plant that made some Spector basses)
A beautiful neck through with EMG soapbar pickups and a better bridge than Spector uses.
It was pretty much a Euro made Spector bass for one quarter what the used Spector ones sell for.
Another example of a company who has some great basses that are way above their regular line but suffer from a reputation of making cheap stuff.

A $3000+ (stated at the end of the video) EU manufactured non-custom bass. Well, it's working with the Sadowsky's made by Warwick, but I don't think Peavey has the same brand reputation...

so I got my 916 super ferite pickups… and I just wanted to say I haven’t really touched my bass since putting them in

Yup. NO Wax , Just like the original SF pickups.
You can order SF pickups waxed. If you just order SF they come as they did factory.
Odd. In your last posts about the pickups you were discussing the tones and frequency , etc.
Now in this post you haven't touched your bass.

As I put em in and played a little bit but I haven’t had a chance to really dial them in
they sound good don’t get me wrong
But they are super microphonic
And here I thought they were epoxy potted
Just FYI, factory Super Ferrite pickups are epoxy potted. As such, these are NOT “just like the originals”….

You purchased SF reproduction pickups. That is what was sent. You did not ask any questions outside of do they come in 5 string Jazz.
When a original Peavey SF was sent in and dissected all the results and specs were documented on the tell me about Super Ferrite thread.
The request by all was to recreate the pickup. Not change it. That was done. Same size blade , same size wire , same size magnets , same shield and No wax.
After the original copys there were requests for the exact same build but in 5 string , then split , then P bass , etc.
All documented on the forum.
You posted as if you receiving pickups without wax is somehow in error or incorrect. If you asked any questions about the pickups those questions would have been answered. If you wanted waxed pickups you would have received pickups potted in paraffin.

All eight of my SF equipped basses have the pickup shells filled with hard, black goop. None of the pickups are microphonic.
Yes , the black goop.
The coil was not potted in anything , the black goop did not make it threw the copper foil and tape layer.
I posted a picture of the factory coil , you can see the coil is not impregnated in any way.

That's to Incase the coil in the cover , it has nothing to do with the coil itself. No one is submerging a wound coil into that two part epoxy like it's paraffin.
