Nice collection! I love that 20! Thanks for the pics!

Someone issue this person a number!
Absolutely! I would really like to be considered to join the group! I just got home from picking up a really nice foundation that I drove a few hours to pick up this morning! I will share some pictures of it here! I got this beauty for $100. Quite the score!

This one is going to need a setup bad and possibly the neck tilt adjusted. The strings were not put on correctly and the a string bottoms out when played open, could use a string tree on it. Anyone have any ideas here?

This bass, the 'A' string would make the truss rod rattle terribly! I asked here on TB what to do and some suggested this little string tree. Anyway increasing the string angle on the nut absolutely solved the problem and made this beauty giggable! Now I just have to find one in black.

You have a great collection of "almost" all the best Peavey's...you don't have a Patriot...?

Cheers!

Jaime Poole..just bought one like yours, but it doesn't have the black headstock. Seems heavy to me already, but I haven't given much attention yet. Gotta go to the tech for a little work...action too high and get those roundwounds off. How's the action on yours? Just got it home Saturday, took it out of the bag to check it, and put it back. Gotta get on it and try to bond.

The action is a little high, I will probably put a full wooden shim or use the neck tilt to bring it down a little. I haven’t adjusted the truss rod yet, I usually de-tune the neck to take the tension off and let it rest for a few days then put some back pressure on the neck as I adjust these old Peavey necks. I can usually save them and have only had one that I couldn’t because it had the familiar foundation hump around the last few frets at the neck heel. That usually happens from adjusting these with the tension on the neck. You have to take that off before adjusting these.
