Favourite Peavey Bass you own. '86 Foundation
Most desired Peavey Bass 1st Gen Peavey Rudy Sarzo.
I just wanted to make the comment about the never-appearing new basses from Peavey. My level of enthusiasm for whatever they may (or may not) release is, sadly, dead...You and @nickpc are not doing it right! LOL
I’ve been quiet on TB for a long time…I will definitely play in the next couple days. I love this @Runnerman and am digging people’s answers!Fun to read the answers so far. Come on guys.....we wanna know...

Yes, I stand corrected... the guitars are incredible...
My apologies... I forgot the T-15. T-27, -T-60 etc
It seems like prices are dropping.Priced to sell!
What's wrong with the T20?
'82 T-20, just not bonding with it, and I think it's the strings. Even with the tone tuned all the way down it's just too "zingy." Per the guy I bought it from it has Elixers on it, and I believe I'm not a fan.
Before I give up on it what are folks favorite strings for their T-20 (or Fury's with the slant pickup)?
Tone knob functions, through the whole sweep, it just never takes the zing out. So I will check to make sure everything is hooked up and working properly under the pickguard. I have an old unknown set of flats that I can throw on there (dark blue silks, bronze/red/black/green balls) to see what they do - if it's zingy with old flats, well...Maybe take a peak under the hood....check that the elecs aren't jacked?
I don't have a T-20 or a slant Fury, but I love the TI Jazz Flats on my split coil Fury and my Ric position, 916 Super Ferrite equipped, G Bass....what are folks favorite strings for their T-20 (or Fury's with the slant pickup)?
You replaced one of the humbuckers for a single coil . None of my business of course but I can't help but wonder why ?My t40 has a super ferrite in it and cobalt flats sound great
I have loved my t40 for years, but all of my basses are in B or A flat, and the huge magnetic pull of the toasters makes a low B mega choingy. So, I pulled the neck pickup and ran it with just one toaster to verify my hypothesis, then ordered a pickguard from pickguard heaven and a pickup from eBay. My choing factor is much more manageable now and those two pickups mixed sound killer. You replaced one of the humbuckers for a single coil . None of my business of course but I can't help but wonder why ?
Guess it must have been the strings. I always kept one T-40 tuned BEAD, La Bella Jamerson, with no issues.all of my basses are in B or A flat, and the huge magnetic pull of the toasters makes a low B mega choingy.
Tried most of those but EADG. Oh man it still smarts how much I detested chromes and cobaltsIt happened to me with chromes, cobalt flats, slinkies, loriders, ddts...
That's the reason my t40 has an aluminum neck now!!Tried most of those but EADG. Oh man it still smarts how much I detested chromes and cobalts
Just remembered I'd run my Patriot BEAD but not really through choice. Neck had a terrible bow, down tuning gave me a bit more playing time between straightening sessions![]()
