Hmmm... I have a slant Fury with a slightly ski-jumped neck. It's either attempt a heat treatment and hope for the best, or find a replacement neck which is really hard to find. I love the neck on my Patriot, so this might be the way!

I did a deal with XsoGol where a Peavey bass got split up.
He is a great guy and it worked out awesome.

Just curious. Will the preamp from a Cirrus BXP work with passive pickups? If so, will it operate on 9 volts, or will it require the full 18?

It will and it'll operate on 9v.

Neither the VFLs nor EQ draw a great deal of power. My Tragic has 2 active PXD pickups, Cirrus EQ and runs on 2 x 9V, my Void also has 2 active PXD pickups and the Cirrus EQ but only runs on 1 x 9V.

Just finished up the first request for a custom order set of Peavey T-15 Clones. Customer wanted a T-15 set but with Chrome surrounds. These have modified Humbucker P90 baseplates to accept a blade Humbucker bobbin. Wound to factory specs. Hand cut U.S. steel blades sanded , polished and plated in-house. Mogami Japan lead wire , laser cut U.S. vulcanex top. All connections made with Silver Solder. Set shipped out with factory wiring diagram , Foil / Film .022uf cap and 1000pf treble bleed.

What will the pickup cover be made from?

There is a guy who makes trim rings at Frets on the Net.
My T40 pickup had a black plastic trim ring he made.

The cover will be made from 3D printed black plastic, yes. The plan is to do straight up plastic 3D printed case/baseplate/ring files that mimic the shape/design of the original metal covers and then branch out artistically from there.

My green rings were 3D printed by Shapeways. Nicely done product. Unfortunately, I think they went bankrupt last summer.

I cut these today. I just need to send out to @XsoGol to check fitment. One thing I do not have is the mounting screws , I see the originals are counter sink. So that's one detail I would need to correct. One is cut from PTFE , it's not great for a finished product. The other is wood. The best finish look would be acrilic. The acrilic I have on hand is too thick for this

Love the SF guitar pickups (as much as I love the SF bass pickups)!
Do these fit a standard humbucker sized rout? That's the catch with the originals, being slightly bigger than standard humbuckers. I had to do some routing and pickguard hole expanding to get these to fit in my two guitars. No biggie, it's well worth having them installed, as I love the sound--a wide bandwidth, big single coil.

Here's my parts Tele (Fiesta Red, so It's named "Party"), built it with used parts found online almost 20 years ago. Bridge PU is a GFS Hot 60s Alnico and it originally had a GFS Dream 90 in the neck. Found a single SF on ebay with the proper polarity so it would hum cancel with the bridge PU and the guitar would have yet more Peavey-ness...

My spring of '20 Covid furlough project was to build a baritone guitar. When in came to pickups, I really wanted a pair of SFs. Found an 83 Patriot locally for $150. Cannibalized the pickups, put the recently orphaned Dream 90 and a Mean 90 in the Patriot and flipped it for no loss. Ladies and gentlemen, Barry Covidcaster...

Yes these are standard Humbucker. These can be made in EMG black box for factory look. If someone wants a little bling like this customer they can be built like in the pictures. This order requires a bit of modification with the P90 Humbucker baseplates to accept a blade Humbucker bobbin. The blade Humbucker bobbin is perfect for these pickups. Factory blades are not tall enough for the exposed blades so I have to cut and plate custom blades. If someone wants just black box EMG looking pickups these are not expensive at all. If anyone wants a set or single T-15 they are available. The turn count for around 5.7k is noted. Also have counts for 5.0 and 5.5k for necks if desired.

If you want a T-15 Tele in the bridge that's totally possible.

Yes. My baritone guitar, Destro (in my sig), has a chrome rickenbacker-like surround around both pickups. The bridge pickup is a Super Neo (super ferrite coil style but with neodymium mags instead of C8 and a slightly lower wind).

Nice looking bass, but it would have been much better if they didn't add the two Fender covers and the thumb rest.
