Anyone interested in a Koa Dyna Unity Series ?

Lad in Whitley Bay , N.E. England, has stuck his on a FB seller's group. Has it priced at £390 ($490 USD), I told him he should get half as much again on Reverb but he's not keen on selling/shipping to America. Perhaps an interested party could persuade him otherwise 🙂

I've no attachments, just popped up in my feed, but am more than happy to get seller's contact details. Just PM me to start the ball rolling

Two details.

Shipping from the UK will likely be $140 including insurance.

There is no tax for US citizens bringing goods valued under $813 into the country.

I'm going to post this in three threads so apologies for the overlap. Is anyone willing to lend a T40 pickup to a 3D print artist for final measurements while reproducing pickup covers and rings for T40 pickups? I found an artist willing to do it based on @Matt Kustom 's awesome T40 pickup schematics but the artist said that the final product will be even better if he has the original on hand to get final caliper measurements and a physical idea of how the pickup is constructed. No harm will come to your pickup as I have already provided mine to Matt to deconstruct and make the schematic. Let me/us know. Thanks!

What will the pickup cover be made from?

There is a guy who makes trim rings at Frets on the Net.
My T40 pickup had a black plastic trim ring he made.

I cut these today. I just need to send out to @XsoGol to check fitment. One thing I do not have is the mounting screws , I see the originals are counter sink. So that's one detail I would need to correct. One is cut from PTFE , it's not great for a finished product. The other is wood. The best finish look would be acrilic. The acrilic I have on hand is too thick for this

What material will the artist make the pickup cover out of? Is it going to be like the Peavey and be a chrome cover with black (plastic?) pieces? Are they going to be all plastic? I would guess all black plastic.

I promise I am going to respond to all the questions/posts about the T40 cover printing initiative shortly….that said…anyone looking for a Patriot neck because I want the body on this thing and just the body:

Let me know. I’ve been wanting a white Patriot with a black pickguard for a long time…that I can do my wacky 32” scale thing to…

I want a Peavey (Patriot, T45, T20) neck with the wide nut and rosewood fretboard.
Unfortunately, that is neither.
Hope somebody here can help split up that Patriot with you. :bassist:

That's the 87 neck. I had one when my 87 Patriot was still a Patriot. Great neck profile.

I agree the '87 Peavey necks are excellent, I think Peavey was firing on all cylinders in 1987.
But these days I want a bass with a wide nut and a shallow profile neck, 1 -11/16" nut width or 1-3/4" nut width.
I have an all maple Patriot neck with the wide nut width and it's really nice, now I want one with a rosewood fretboard.

I agree! Great neck profile!
After the RicRiot mod, the 87 Patriot neck was replaced with with an 85 Patriot neck that is also maple and 1.75". Because, more Ric!
The T-42.5 (with the green pickup rings) has an 83 T45 neck with rosewood.
The narrow 87 Patriot neck was attached to a pearl white 85 Foundation body that I sold to a friend. I kind of miss that neck...

Hmmm... I have a slant Fury with a slightly ski-jumped neck. It's either attempt a heat treatment and hope for the best, or find a replacement neck which is really hard to find. I love the neck on my Patriot, so this might be the way!

if anyone had posted my first big-boy amplifier from 1980
Had one up until a couple of months back. Damn things are like herpes, impossible to get rid off :roflmao:

Stuck up for sale paired with a 4 x 10 BW cab and a £70 tag, got no takers. Still no takers with a £50 tag 🫤

Took changing the ad header to " Free + I'll load it in your car for you" before I finally got rid off it
