Damn Right! We all know the better mod for the Patriot
There are plenty of P/Js already out there. Just get a Foundation S, Forum (Plus)...
The Patriot is just a Ric 4000 waiting to be a Ric 4001/4003. Not nearly as many of those...

Damn Right! We all know the better mod for the Patriot
Fella going by the name of "bremnertron" put the rings on Thingiverse 5 or 6 years back, licensed it under Creative Commons. Is anyone willing to lend a T40 pickup to a 3D print artist for final measurements while reproducing pickup covers and rings for T40 pickups?
What will the pickup cover be made from?I'm going to post this in three threads so apologies for the overlap. Is anyone willing to lend a T40 pickup to a 3D print artist for final measurements while reproducing pickup covers and rings for T40 pickups? I found an artist willing to do it based on @Matt Kustom 's awesome T40 pickup schematics but the artist said that the final product will be even better if he has the original on hand to get final caliper measurements and a physical idea of how the pickup is constructed. No harm will come to your pickup as I have already provided mine to Matt to deconstruct and make the schematic. Let me/us know. Thanks!
I think I'm losing it, how could I forget Dave and Frets on the Net ?There is a guy who makes trim rings at Frets on the Net.
Speak to Dave, he sells all the screw sizes Peavey used. One thing I do not have is the mounting screws
What material will the artist make the pickup cover out of? Is it going to be like the Peavey and be a chrome cover with black (plastic?) pieces? Are they going to be all plastic? I would guess all black plastic.a 3D print artist for final measurements while reproducing pickup covers for T40 pickups? ...the artist said that the final product will be even better if he has the original on hand to get final caliper measurements and a physical idea of how the pickup is constructed.

Let me know. I’ve been wanting a white Patriot with a black pickguard for a long time…that I can do my wacky 32” scale thing to…

That's the 87 neck. I had one when my 87 Patriot was still a Patriot. Great neck profile.I promise I am going to respond to all the questions/posts about the T40 cover printing initiative shortly….that said…anyone looking for a Patriot neck because I want the body on this thing and just the body:

I agree! Great neck profile!I agree the '87 Peavey necks are excellent, I think Peavey was firing on all cylinders in 1987.
But these days I want a bass with a wide nut and a shallow profile neck, 1 -11/16" nut width or 1-3/4" nut width.
I have an all maple Patriot neck with the wide nut width and it's really nice, now I want one with a rosewood fretboard.
I want that T45 rosewood neck!I agree! Great neck profile!
The T-42.5 (with the green pickup rings) has an 83 T45 neck with rosewood.
The narrow 87 Patriot neck was attached to a pearl white 85 Foundation body that I sold to a friend. I kind of miss that neck...
