does anyone know anything about the forum ax that peavey made? here is a pic of mine

thanks. i love it so far. just wish i could play better. i'm dying to play some funk! how do i join the peavey club btw?Download a digital copy of the original manual here: Invalid Link Removed
It gives you all the specs on the construction and active electronics.
Cool bass by the way![]()
Thanks MKoby. i also got your PM you sent me. i am so glad i bought this guitar. i only paid 125 for it. the pickups are humbucking (not sure if thats the same as humbucker) according to the manual.Forum AX.
I have one also. (Mine looks just like yours)
IIRC, this was the Peavey take on a Sabre/StingRay.
Of a parallel thought to Ibanez ATK;(but has a better neck and balances)
They were not cheap, but were a lot less than G & L or MM basses.
It must have been about mid 90's (95, 96, 97). A five string model was made; I have not seen or played one.
A single P/U version was also made and just as good with a single P/U ~ sweet spot. Have not owned one. (Forum first generation with single P/U)
The bass is solid, very solid; also rather heavy.
I think the P/U's are humbuckers (I'm not sure on this)
Two band EQ.
Black, sunburst, white, red; I've seen one in blue but may have been a refinish.
I recall no major players who used one and am puzzled.
I prefer it over the MM's I have had. Hollywars (My bass playing son) and I think is sounds really good.
However, it lacks snob appeal.
If this bass had a label of one of several other brands on the headstock, they would be going for over 1K.

I forgot to include a pic of the pickups on the '92 5 string - anyone seen these before?
