That is one great piece of ash! (I mean the bass). And I usually don't dig stickers, but that one is a winner on that bass. Most excellent...

The pin-up girl looks like nose art on a WWII fighter or bomber.
I always like the look of natural ash and a maple board. That bass is a winner.
Horrible discovery. I don't know why I didn't notice till now, but I noticed my Foundation had a horrible smell (this is the 2nd day I've owned it.) Then I noticed it was coming from the case.
... Smelled like piss... I have no idea why, but it smelled like piss. At first, I thought it was just a vintage smell, but then I noticed that just smelled bad.
SOOO.... I'm tossing this case because there's no way I'm gonna be able to take that out. Now I have to go buy a new case.
The bass is clean after I doused it with Lysol.

Just a Heads up for you Cirrus/G-Bass players. I've documented upgrading to the Millennium preamp. I'm working out some bugs, but the process is captured, and pretty easy to follow. If this is something you've been thinking about doing, this would definitely help.

I replaced the pickup selector switch on my T-40 this weekend and discovered a date and signature inside the pickguard. Mine is a 79' and the date inside is 5/11/79 and a signature next to it. Looks like it was done with a silver marker. (sorry about the bad pic!!)

Can you re-load the pic? Or is it just my machine?
the pic was bad and did not realize it until I got it off the camera. Tried to touch it up but this was the best I could do. I will be replacing the Phase switch next weekend and will reshoot the pic and post it.

That's exactly how mine is/was, same year and all. I have the original pickguard around here somewhere, I'll take a pic!! I thought it was marked in pencil
