I like the adjustability but would prefer a solid pocket for maximum sustain. The rosewood neck was perfect, I just backed off the trussrod a little and everything came right together. I had to angle all the saddles slightly, I should move the bridge just a hair!!

Do you have the trussrod adjustment tool? Now that I have more than one, I should probably get the proper tool.

I was tempted by the latest technology and approved credit and no finace charges for 6 months. Then I thought about it and realized that I really like the flexibility that the ADA gives me. I'm going to be doing a wide variety of gigs and it's nice to have one amp to cover everything.

P.S. That Sunn must rock!

Smart to stay put- I'm more and more adhereing to the "If it works, use it!" school of thinking.

And yeah, the Sunn does sound freaking great. I'm back!! Thanks, Funkster! And I'm still adhering to the school- but I'm not really playing for bread anymore, and tubes are where the mojo was before I went off into "Gotta make some bread" land. Now I just have to make some music- the kind I want to. Sanity is important at my house!

I'm staying put. :cool:

Well things are looking good for paying for the Foundation5 at the end of the month. The Dyna bass I got in monday is just blowing me away though..WOW...I think I found my dream bass. That neck is just to die for.

It was set up pretty nice when I got it but there was one thing about it that irked me. The G string was set super super low on the action. The rest were acceptable but not the G string. I went and adjusted the saddle up I think as high as it can safely go and its still set lower then the rest of the strings? I am pretty new at adjusting things like this, is there something I'm missing? I did adjust the position of the saddle with the screw in the back and that didn't seem to help much. I'd actually like the action up higher all the way around on this axe but things are looking pretty much maxed as it is. *scratches head* uhm..help? And I hope it was ok that I posted this here. ^_^

You might want to see if the prior owner cranked the neck tilt in a bunch for lower action. It's kind of a balance thing...adjust the tilt, adjust the bridge...repeat ;) The bridge saddles should follow the radius of the neck. The Schaller bridge does sit kinda low, but the Dyna has got quite a bit of adjusting potential between the neck tilt, neck relief and bridge. Congrats on the score...I've been loving mine for 23 years!

Ahh I totally forgot about the neck tilt option. Much thanks. I downloaded the manual for it off Peavey the other night. I will read, study and then 'Badass' (as I call my blacked out Dyna) will be the guinea pig....errr :p And as far as I'm concerned, this baby goes to the afterlife with me, I am so in love with this axe. ^_^
