U.S. Peavey Club

Can i have a number please?
Peavey Axcelerator 5

I call it... Purple Rain.

Hey!!! Another Barney Bass. I always liked that color.

My life feels empty without the cheap Peavey thread. :(
What made that finally close? Did it get too political or divisive?

One troll and it had gone on too long but it wasn't taking up nearly as much space as the "upgraded pickups for whatever Fender bass" threads or the "my strap button screw came out".

I thought about starting one that asked why Peavey players don't ask about PU upgrades. There have been surprisingly few of those.

I am probably going to buy this USA made Fury. The only problem is that the logo has been removed from the headstock. I am getting it for $100 with a Peavey case. I think a good deal considering.

I guess, but I think for 100 bones this is a good deal. I play gigs at the beach and this would be a good beach gig bass. I would probably use the Peavey case with my beloved black Foundation.

I recently got one just like that, only more beat up, and with the logo still on it, for around the same money... If that one plays anything like mine does, you'll do well for yourself to grab it, IMO - mine has excellent fretwork, and plays very well...

I'm intrigued by the pickup placement on that Palaedium. Would love to hear it.

I like having a bass or three around with a wider pickup placement like the Palaedium has...to be honest, I've just noodled on the bass. Haven't had time to run it thru an amp yet :rollno:

Hey all, I have a chance to pick up a natural '83 T-20 with the slanted SF.
I already have an '83 slanted Fury, which I believe was designed to replace the T-20 in the market. From my understanding, there really are no major differences other than body shape and weight. I'm guessing that 1983 was the only year that Peavey made both the T-20 and Fury...true?

The guy wants $150 for it with a good bullet case.

The main thing for me at least, would be the cool factor of the T-20. Those things just look so freakin' cool, to me :)
