picked this foundation up a couple months ago, i think a '91. she's in rough shape cosmetically but plays great. id love to get a number and join the club :)

Currently rehabilitating my gf's foundation 5 string. Pictured next to my new American P Special. It was sitting in her basement, and she had totally forgot about it until we moved into a new house together. Even with rusty strings and scratchy pots it sounds killer. Not really a need for a 5 in my band, but it's nice to fool around with for jams/pickup gigs. Haven't played a 5er in several years, since my old reggae band broke up.

A not so great pic of a $100 Foundation I picked up. Amateur rattle can on the body that may get a better finish next spring. Really good neck and frets. Used some mix and match hardware just to make it interesting, sprayed the pots and strung it BEAD. I might put a three band concentric knob eq with blend in it but I may not since it's already a good sounding player.

A co-worker says he has a Peavey Foundation, three tone sunburst, made in the 70's and never played. He wants to get some idea of its worth.

Where can he (or I guess me, since I am on here asking) get that kind of information. I've skimmed eBay and saw other Peavey Foundations, different model years, ranging from $200 to $500.

That article was AWESOME. I posted it in the Peavey club on Facebook.

I felt like a proud parent, or something. I thought, "Finally, Peavey is getting the WELL over due respect it has always deserved." Then, I thought, "I hope this doesn't mean Foundations will cost $500 now."

One thing for sure, that article makes me want to get another Foundation !!

The first year for the Foundation bass was 1983.

Has anyone with a Sarzo tried coil tapping the PUs??? The tap is already there and just needs to be grounded. I've just tried the neck PU on one of mine and like the sound of the SC neck with some HB bridge dialed in. It's the setting I always preferred on T-40s.
