U.S. Peavey Club

Here's my poor attempt at putting together a collage of my USA Peavey basses. No particular order. It was too confusing to figure out.

1st row: TL-5 (2nd Gen), T-40 Five, Patriot, Koa TL-5 (modified 2nd Gen), TL-5 Trans Purple (2nd Gen).
2nd Row: DynaBass V (2nd Gen body, 1st Gen neck), DynaBass (1st Gen w/left hand Foundation neck), Foundation (1st Gen), Grind V USA, B Ninety.
3rd Row: DynaBass Unity, Sarzo, Fury (2nd model), Cirrus 4, Fury (3rd model).
4th Row: TL-5 w/ T-40 pickups, Fury (1st model, 5 string coversion in process), Foundation (1st Gen), DynaBass (1st Gen modified), T-40 (trashed 1979 to be converted to 5 string).

I totally lucked into it. Cruising Craig's List, which I don't do often, and there it was on consignment at a music store 100 miles away. Great pics and good price, too. Made arrangements and made the trip the next day. It had been very well maintained and was set up to factory specs with good strings, no dust and dirt, clean fret board, no grunge by the frets, tuned to pitch, good battery, no scratchy pots......... I was totally astounded. Could have taken it straight to a gig. Got to eat lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant, too, and picked up hot tamales with great chili gravy, chips and hot sauce for the family. Everybody won.

Since I just might be scoring a bolt Cirrus 5 this month (yes, a rare US bolt 24-fretter), thought I'd post this vid of my past G-V (GREAT bass) that I sold last year (G.A.S....d'oh). Anyway, listen to her roar, especially around 3:18...crank your subs!

I stumbled upon an old thread, looking for an entirely different bass. The seller happened to have one of these, I commented in the thread 2 1/2 years later, never thinking that anything would come to fruition. The seller also hadn't been on in a few weeks, and low and behold, I get a reply saying that he still has it and that I can grab it when he gets back in town. WOOT!
