I mentioned this in the new thread, why not call it the "Import Peavey Club" Having two, open to all US basses seems rather redundant and confusing
Well this is easy to answer. There already are 2 clubs.One is The U.S. Peavey Club and the other is The Official U.S. Peavey Cirrus Club.They are both run by me with pride.If you feel unjustified here,bythe U.S. part then I would suggest you start an import club yourself.

+1 IMHO, having one club open to ALL Peavey's is just going to be a cluster F. An Import Peavey Club would be much more useful.

It just seemed like there were a number of import Peaveys wanting to join the U.S. club but starting an Import Club seemed to segregate owners. Plus, I don't own an import one so I couldn't join!
Actually, unity would best be served by focus and coherency.
If this were a general purpose Peavey thread, they've made so many zillions of instruments I think the thread would just be all over the place.
It's not about discrimination, which is what you seem to think it is. Not at all. If it were, people would reject your input just because you didn't own one. Nothing could be further from the truth. I guarantee any posts from you that were on-topic would be totally welcome just like anybody else.
It's about maintaining focus in a narrower product area for a higher concentration of more useful and interesting information for the participants. That's all. Seriously.

I agree. I have little to no interest in the Cirrus line. They are great basses, just not my thing. I was glad to see them move to a separate club. It just makes getting the info I enjoy easier and it's much easier to follow. An Import Peavey Club would serve the same purpose. People interested in the imports would only have to make one stop
I don't have an import either but I feel the club would be very worthwhile. I think everyone would let you slide if you promise to buy one If I just didn't commit to another T-40, I'd buy a Zodiac for sure!!!
Because of some valid concerns voiced by members of the U.S. Peavey Club I've discontinued the Peavey Owner's Club and started the Peavey Import Club.

Great!! IMHO, that makes the 3 Peavey Clubs much easier to follow and navigate. I actually have more interest in a Zodiac than I do a Cirrus so I'll probably be joining at some point soon. I really loved the Zodiac I played at GC.

The obvious differences, are well, obvious. But I can match them against each other in terms of sound and feel and other not so obvious attributes, such as overall quality of construction.

Compare the differences in tone between open strings and fretted strings. I want to see how much of a difference the Tusq nut on the USA Millenniums makes.
